So, I was playing TPA Ghostbusters on PS5 today and noticed the ball having glitchy graphics. It looks like the reflections on the ball get blocky sometimes. Also noticed graphics glitches up the right trail around where the bumpers are. Luckily, it doesn't appear to affect gameplay.
So...
Hmm...well....I've decided that I only care about real-life recreations of pinball tables anyway. Not interested in their "original" tables, no matter how they might soup them up. And at this point (unless I missed something), they only have one real life recreated table that wasn't already...
You know, I was really hoping for just one more patch for the PS4 version of TPA that would fix at least SOME the remaining issues.
Black Hole (one of my favorites) is not looping the background sound in-game.
Dr. Who (the official one, not the fako) flipper sounds go away shortly into a game...
I wouldn't count on TPA ever getting any updates anymore, let alone new tables. Once they lost the Williams/Bally license, they seem to have lost interest in the project entirely.
All I can say is that I'm only buying their re-creations of actual real-life tables, not any of their fake tables. I own all of everything for FX3 and the fake tables just don't do it for me, I feel like I wasted money on those fako's. Only the IRL table re-creations interest me. I don't mean...
I don't know, it seems like Zen's business has already been affected. How often did tables used to get released? How fast are they being released now? There's been an obvious change in frequency since all this "acquiring" started.
"New business model" most likely means there won't be any free upgrades for owners of the previous version, like there was last time. Buy it all over again.....at inflated prices.
Because it's somewhat problematic on PS4, so they were likely seeing those same issues on PS5 during BC testing, not realizing they're just existing issues in the program.
I'm very interested in learning how TPA runs on PS5 also. I don't know when I'll get a PS5, but it will be when I can get one at a store, so probably a few months at best. Still, TPA is the one game I care about most as far as BC on PS5 is concerned. Naturally, I'll be keeping my PS4 Pro...
I wouldn't mind a Zen version of Black Hole. I really enjoy that table, but Farsight screwed up the background sound on it in one of their last updates (how long ago was that now?) and it doesn't repeat on PS4 anymore until the ball hits something to cue a different sound, then it will play a...
I'm playing on PS4 Pro (will get them for PC later) and is it TPA or Zen who's sound on Dr. Dude is wrong? I'm used to how it sounded on TPA and it sounds drastically different on FX3. Never saw the table IRL so I wouldn't know which is correct.
