I really need to get back into VP. I have an old version 8 with over 700 tables that mostly still work in Win10 after a down-and-dirty copy/paste from Win7, sans many fonts that were needed for the scoreboards.
Checked out some YT vids and things appear to have improved since my ancient...
I'm still hoping for a final sound fix for PS4......sigh. Black Hole was one of my favorite tables until they borked the background sound on it. Pipes-dreams are still a thing.
I tend to prefer TPA simply because there are more recreations in the app than what Zen has now. I figure it will be a long time before Zen hits 100 real-life table recreations.
If the PS4 version has all the tables that you can get on PC in a couple of "packs", I'd be willing to double dip on this. It's a large amount of tables to check out all at once.
I'm gonna be honest....that soccer pinball game looks like rubbish and doesn't interest me in the least. I find it very hard to believe that a game like that is more worthwhile for them to create than any further additions to TPA.
For me, I play more TPA simply because I have 100 tables (well....99 actual re-creations) in one app, but with Zen, there are currently only like 18 re-creations. While I own all the Zen originals, they just don't really appeal to me like re-creations of real life tables do.
That might change...
I don't know anything for sure, but it seems like TPA is just dead. Play it for what it is (in fact, it is the most played game on my PS4 for the 2nd year) but don't expect anything further as far as new content or bug fixes.
Yeah, the sound bug fixes would be nice, but honestly, I don't really expect Farsight to bother with the app anymore. It's been far too long with absolutely nothing....oh, except for updates to further delist tables, but no fixes. Hope I'm wrong, but it seems TPA is dead, sad to say.
I would buy ANYTHING they might release, I mean, I have all of everything for TPA on PS4, and I'm still hoping they would release more. I'll admit though, I wouldn't be as excited for "original" tables as I would be for re-creations, but I'd still buy them anyway.
Gotcha, thanks. That must be why the EM and SS versions are my favorite ones to play.
I've noticed the EM version of Nautilus doesn't work. It's like the table is turned off or unplugged.
Bought the Platinum package just a few days ago. I'm really enjoying it. There is a certain charm to the older style tables that I actually prefer over newer, busier tables. That's not to say I don't like newer tables, it's just that I feel like we've been so starved for the older ones in...
I just bought the entire suite of Zaccaria Pinball a couple days ago and I'm really enjoying it. Kind of a funny story......I recently bought a gaming laptop (Alienware M17 with an RTX 2070 Max-Q) and this was the first game I bought for it. All the games were running like butter and looking...
Looks nice, but is it just me or did the ball look like it was moving in slow motion? The tables run much faster than that on my PS4 Pro.
Nice touch having the score on the backbox. And yeah, those are quite obviously the Farsight re-creations.
OK, so I have all of everything for TPA on PS4 from before the Bally/Williams license expiration, that's 100 tables. After the Bally/Williams license expired, their collection was reduced to less than half......39 I believe? UGH! Is it any wonder that they aren't even bothering to do...
Definitely all are tables that exist TPA. Very likely that it is Farsight's table recreations. Seems pretty cool, but I'd like to actually see one in action. Videos just don't convey the sizing scale, but I'd assume it's close to the same scale as the Arcade1Up units, but in pinball form.
Make resetting the scoreboards a yearly thing regardless of physics updates. So like January 1 (or whatever date you decide), everyone gets a new chance to be the top score. That way everyone KNOWS that the scores will be reset every year, no surprises. And then, you could have a section...
