Okay... here we go:
+ DC Comics - Batman (DE), Batman (DK-Stern), Batman Forever (Sega), Superman (Atari) - If Zen and Marvel (Disney) have a deal that may preclude the bunch of great Marvel themed Stern pins from ever being added to TPA, why not try and make a deal with DC Comics (Time Warner)...
I don't know where the rumors come from, or how much salt with which to take them, but Metallica could be a cool table theme, and I've been hoping Stern or JJP would do a new Star Trek table:D
Very good list and notes, especially the one about The Getaway - It would suck to lose "La Grange", but not anywhere near as much as it would suck to never get the table in TPA. FISH TALES! WHITE WATER!
You are correct sir, and I can't believe I've been making that mistake after all the ZZ Top I heard growing up.
Played Who Dunnit again today a couple times, had a great time, and reaffirmed it's position on my thread starting list. Too bad FS has already expressed a lack of interest in it...:(
That is AWESOME to read. Who knows if any will happen, but great to know there isn't some nonsense contract/license BS standing in the way. I for one would LOVE to see Pinball Magic, BBB, and Kingpin. Some really cool, rare tables, that would be a great addition to TPA to act as a footnote...
Would love to see Pinball Magic in TPA. Pinball Circus too, but that seems fairly unlikely, unless they can convince Tim at The Pinball HOF in Vegas to let them 'rent' it for a few months. Coincidentally, if they can convince him, my best friend and I are talking about a day trip to PHOF in...
I don't think we have to worry about Whirlwind, since it was in PHOF, though I too am looking forward to the update. Seems almost impossible that we won't get HH and WW, but until they actually announce them... Black Rose over Earthshaker for me, but I'd like to see both too.
Seems like there are a lot of common tables on everyone's lists.
Hopefully FS is taking a strong look at these tables, as they should be the "easiest" to do, and it's obvious that people want them.
Definitely agreeing with:
Junk Yard (have played the real thing many times, and like it)
Haunted House (on everyone's list)
Jack*Bot (complete the trilogy!)
Safe Cracker (it's being a unique piece in pinball, and a Lawlor seem to warrant inclusion)
Pin*Bot (which is confirmed, Sean)
Sorcerer...
Here's mine to start us off:
1. White Water
2. Fish Tales
3. Champion Pub
4. Black Rose
5. Banzai Run
6. Class of 1812
7. Who Dunnit
8. Hurricane (or Cyclone)
9. Diner
10. Mousin' Around
There are a few tables that some might think of in this category, but do actually have some kind of a...
Wow... that is deeply uncool of FS to lie in the newsletter to drum up Pro Mode sales. ...'Course since I bought the thing on 360 on day 1, and am hoping to switch over to Wii U as my main platform for it, not really an issue for me, yet.
I'd really like to see the upcoming Wii U version mentioned along side the 360 and PS3, when FS employees are talking about console versions at this point...
I too have actually played, and greatly enjoyed Stern's Elvis table. I'm no Elvis fan, music, movies, etc., but the table is fun. I will admit that it can take a few plays to get next to it, but it really can be fun, and I'd be all for it's inclusion in TPA. I'd say it's somewhere between...
I don't know how likely that is. If Nintendo's approval process is anything like the other guys, which I'm sure everyone hopes it's not, FS would have about a week to get TPA submitted to have any hope of a late Jan. release, and since they're saying late Jan. for the submission... but, I too...
What I'm wondering is, I know Zen didn't get their game out in Dec. like they said they would in their announcement trailer, but did they actually announce a delay, or are they just a little behind? It seems to me that TPA only has a chance of beating Zen2 to market if Zen delayed it pretty big...
From Pin Wiz's new year's update:
"• Wii U : FarSight is on track to get the launch pack submitted to Nintendo before the end of January and hopes to release The Pinball Arcade on the Wii U before Zen Pinball 2!
FarSight is still examining their options with Add-On content for the Wii U. Their...
I would think they would want to "catch up" Wii U users to at least where the other consoles are, pretty much from the get-go. I suppose I get not having too much available on Day 1 in theory, but I for one want every damn table that they've made available on Day 1, so that I can finally get...
