I voted Centaur. Fireball a very close second. FS, do us a favor, if you do Centaur, PLEASE GET THE PLAYFIELD ART PERFECT. It is absolutely the #1 attraction of the table, so please, no blurry textures.
Glad to see Cyclone on someone's list. I'd really love to see it or Hurricane (which is really similar, and has a DMD) - I mean, they've got to do at least one of the "Rollercoaster series" for their "preserving pinball" notion to mean something, right?
I would love to see them talk with Jersey Jack about a simultaneous release on The Hobbit. Yeah, I know, but still... WOZ wouldn't hurt my feelings either:)
Great picks, and I love your realistic ones, because they're pretty unique (an actually cool Gottlieb, and the only pin with an upper/second playfield in the backglass), and would be great additions for FS's "preserving pinball" notion.
I love Champion Pub too! The boxer/punching bag is maybe the biggest (and one of the coolest) toys ever in a pin. World Cup Soccer looks really great too, never played it, but that FIFA license is probably pretty pricey, even if the table is from '94.
It's cool.
As far as updates from Nintendo goes, I'm not sure, it seems like in the short life of "The Siren" that there has been new content to DL, and update patches on both Tuesdays and Thursdays, without anything really much to go on as to the rhyme or reason behind it. Maybe they'll...
I'll start with the 2 tables I'd be most excited to see announced, in 2 categories (TOTAL DREAM - aka licensing hell, and REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS - aka why haven't they announced these already?):
TOTAL DREAM DUO:
-The Addams Family
-The Avengers HULK LE
REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS DUO:
-White Water...
EXCELLENT NEWS!!! :) Can't wait! Here's hoping for all the current packs on Day 1, and that Nintendo doesn't take too many holiday days off.
...Still wondering where my newsletter is though...:(
I want to make it clear that when I use the term "real pinball", I mean real, physical 250+lbs pinball tables made by Bally/Williams, Stern and etc. That is not an opinion. Real physical pinball tables existed for 40+ years before anyone did the same thing digitally, and new ones are still...
Pin Wiz's post says "looking to submit it to Nintendo", not that they actually have. They could be "looking" to submit for months still for all we know, until they actually have, the time frame for release is still completely up in the air, unfortunately.
Though, I haven't got the new...
I have played a great deal of Zen, but I've played a great deal more real pinball, and a great deal more TPA, and TPA "feels" as much like pinball as anything short of shoving around a real 250+lbs machine can, Zen doesn't "feel" anything like that. It's fun, and I will support their Wii U...
XBOX 360. That is the reason for my impatience. No new tables in many moons. I'm hoping to migrate my TPA experience from the troublesome 360 to the Wii U, with extra features and better lighting, ASAP. I am a serious pinball aficionado, sadly without a nice tablet, or the money to collect...
Well, Nintendo's "launch window" (ha) ends at the end of March, and FS said before that they were hoping/planning to get TPA out during said "window". Hopefully they will make it. With a month and a half to spare. And all current tables packs available on Day 1.
From Pin Wiz's most recent General Updates post:
• FarSight is still working hard on the Wii U version and is looking to submit it to Nintendo and release it as soon as possible.
So, I read this as "It's still coming, you know some time... soon-ish, but we really aren't close enough to hazard a...
Looks pretty cool to me. Nice to see George explain the layout, and etc., shame it was only partially. Still want to really see it being played before I'm 100% sure what I think, but if I was flush (which I'm very not), I'd be preordering the Hulk LE for sure.
