I think Heighway and Skit-B are trying to make (and haven't really done anything yet) a bare bones table. Heighway, with the hope, it seems of selling them to bars in Europe, and Skit-B with making sort of a glorified hobbyists product. Don't get me wrong, with all the money I could want I'd...
I've been watching the Jersey Jack story develop for a long time now, and I think given the number of preorders they've managed, and the quality of the product they are about to start delivering with WOZ, and the "innovations" they are bringing to pinball, that they have a very real shot of...
...well at this point I don't think it's any great leap to assume that TPA will not be available for "The Siren" (Wii U) in 2012 :( Disappointing. Hopefully FS will at least give us a clue before year's end...
Some new pics and details up on Stern's website:
LE - http://www.sternpinball.com/Games/avengers-le.aspx
PRO - http://www.sternpinball.com/Games/avengers-pro.aspx
And "official confirmation" that the Pro version is (comparably) junk, and the LE versions should be pure George Gomez magic.
New...
I love table mods, but I think they'd be more likely as very cheap DLC (like $.25-$.50) rather than unlocks. And I would probably buy them. Rotating spaceships in AFM? Yes, please. Spinning tiger saw, and chained up trunk in TOM? Yes to those too.
current top 10 most wanted:
1. The Pinball Arcade on Wii U (release date??? Packs available day 1???)
2. Fish Tales
3. White Water
4. Addams Family
5. Spider-Man
6. Indy (93)
7. AFM (at least we know it's coming)
8. Tron Legacy LE
9. The Avengers HULK LE
10. Champion Pub
Just the tip of the...
I would kill to see 100+ tables. Okay, not literally, but, you know...
From the (pretty extensive) research I've done there are well over 100, probably more like 200 tables that I would love to see/would find worthy of inclusion in TPA. How many will they really do? I don't know, but anything...
Dr. Dude/Pin*Bot, Cactus Canyon/Genie, Attack from Mars/? (maybe Space Shuttle) - these are all packs I can get behind :)
Hopefully on Wii U. Soon.
But I do have to echo the sentiment expressed by Kolchak357, when are they going to at least confirm that White Water and Haunted House will be...
Thank you, sir. Now, hopefully FS is making good use of it's capabilities, and will launch TPA on Wii U ASAP, and will all current packs (1-7 + TZ).
And hopefully they'll tell us something more than "we've got a Beta together" soon.
I really want to see a play run/explanation video for the Avengers LE before I really say much. It's hard (for me at least) to be sure what all the shots and toys are exactly from the still overhead of the playfield. Could be really cool, could be pretty weak, I'm just not sure yet. It...
If they do T2, they've gotta make sure the deal lets them do T3 as well. I have played T2 many times in the past (has been a long time), and get to play T3 fairly frequently, as it is on location nearby. T3 is far more dynamic, though T2 has a classic layout that works so well Steve Ritchie...
Name one game that's popularity has been hurt by it's native resolution on PS3/Wii U/360/Wii, etc.? Name 5 games that are graphically intensive that are real true native 1080p on anything other than a PC? What percentage of people are going to really care that PS4/Nextbox are going to be...
Sounds like not a ton of progress has really been made on anything other than new table development. Obviously new tables are at the top of everybody's 'want list', and they're what pays the bills, so no problem with that being the primary focus, but it would be nice to see more of this other...
Yeah, look back at those earliest PS3/360 games, as in look at screens or pop one in your system. Not so great compared to NG3:RE, which is 1080p 60fps (to the best of my knowledge - with the occasional frame drop), and is better anti-aliased than on PS3/360. Oh, and 1080/60 is the "goal" of...
the lack of a "post system launch date" update about the Wii U version is really not breeding a lot of belief (on my part at least) that they are all that close to having TPA ready for it, which is, of course, pretty disappointing. Here's hoping they manage to at least have it up (and with at...
