living near an arcade that has 15 pins... but used to have 27... and none of them are anywhere near 100% "freshly shopped" working order.
take two:
having the ball hit the inside top of the left slingshot on Monster Bash, trigger the slingshot, and it somehow bizarrely manages to cause the...
I wanna throw my interest in. I've never been lucky enough to have chance to play it, but this one looks like a really cool, really underrated table. That said, given the licenses and etc, I imagine it has little to no chance, but it does look really cool and I'd totally welcome it if somehow...
I was not really impressed with NGG on PHOF. Seemed like a table that SHOULD be cool, but I just couldn't get to "work" for me.
THEN I got to play a real one. WOW. It is roughly... a million times better... give or take... in real life than the PHOF version. I'm confident that TPA version...
An Elvira table? The Getaway? T2 or T3? Yeah, sign me up for ANY of these options.
I hope any way about it we get both Elvira tables eventually, and both Terminator tables (less likely, I suppose), and The Getaway, preferably with Midi "La Grande" intact.
The email update has really had...
They're all worth buying, for sure. Little bugs, issues, and all. $5 for a 2-pack, and some people aren't sure they're worth getting? Boggles the mind... really does.
To be more specific, I mean "dead center" on the top of the slingshots. On real tables a lot of the time the ball will bounce straight back up, depending on angle of course. I don't think it has ever done that for me on any of the tables on TPA, except Black Hole. Also, anytime the ball comes...
Okay, so I love TPA, as anyone who has read any of my post can certainly tell, but I have to say something about the slingshots. More specifically, about when the ball hits the top of one of the slingshots. It (the ball) seems to have an about 85-95% chance of draining out the outlane (except...
I'm pretty sure I've experienced most if not all of the issues I've read in this thread, but I wanted to add one to the conversation, and that is - I could be wrong, but I really feel like during multiball when there are more than two balls in the vicinity of the flippers, they (the flippers)...
Never played it, but soooooooo want to. Another playfield in the backglass? Yes, please. So add me to the ranks of those requesting/hoping for Banzai Run to make TPA. I know of a place that's selling one that's probably pretty cherry, but they want $6000 for it.
Additional note: Being the...
I was a SEGA kid. I can remember gaming all the way back to playing OutRun and HangOn when I was 4 in the arcade. I was never quite an arcade rat, but I wished I was at the time, and in retrospect, I still do. I was a DC fanatic, obviously, too. Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, and REZ still rest...
I'd love a Scared Stiff and Haunted House pack (not quite as much as I'd like SS & Elvira paired, as they really are a pair). Victory and The Getaway sounds good. I think they will pair AFM with Firepower. Personally, I find basically nothing appealing about Firepower, but since AFM is...
VIPER.
Honorable Mentions: Iron Maiden, Mata Hari, Space Invaders, Xenon, Jungle Queen, Out of Sight, The Empire Strikes Back, Banzai Run (not for art, but because a second playfield is even cooler), Jack*Bot, The Machine Bride of Pinbot, Farfalla (Euro Ver.), Robot, Sorcerer, Haunted House...
FS are eventually going to make it to where TPA high scores attained when not online will be uploaded, right? I mean, the leaderboard needs to be there in the first place, for all the tables, but since my Xbox disconnects from Live while I'm playing TPA all the freaking time, I'm not even sure...
Iron Maiden has fantastic art. Some of the others do too. Viper has possibly the most awesome backglass ever on a pin. Very Sorayama.
Anyway, voted for Iron Maiden, Sea Witch, Stingray, Quicksilver, and Viper. Most old pins don't do that much for me play-wise, but as an "art person", there...
I've gotta do 2 lists...plus:
MOST WANTED TABLES (AS IN TO BUY AND OWN - scarcity and cost play into this one) - copied from a .docx of mine:
1. THE WIZARD OF OZ - Jersey Jack - 2012 (not yet released)
2. TRON: LEGACY LIMITED EDITION - Stern - 2011
3. MEDIEVAL MADNESS - Williams - 1997
4...
