Idea: SPECIAL FORCE (Bally, 1986) as a Military/Veteran Fundraiser Release?

If you don't like the idea, that's fine, but we can do without the personal attack.

    Monte Carlo (Gottlieb Premier 1987)

Well, the sad thing is that I already have the manual. It only describes where the volume control should be. There is no sort of diagram, and the description given isn't extremely helpful because I've never looked inside a pin before. :(

Idea: SPECIAL FORCE (Bally, 1986) as a Military/Veteran Fundraiser Release?

Perhaps the vet fundraiser idea isn't the greatest one. I still say this is an extremely fun pin (especially if you like action movies) and would love to see it released on Memorial Day, July 4th, or Veterans Day. Then again, maybe if they go the charity route, maybe international buyers who...

    Monte Carlo (Gottlieb Premier 1987)

Got a question for people with more experience with Gottlieb tables than I have... the volume is still set on what the previous owner had it set on, and to me, it's a tad low. Where is the volume button/knob/switch? I've looked inside the coin return, but didn't really see anything that looked...

    Request No more Gottlieb tables

Lot of love for Monte Carlo. It's definitely become a favorite of mine as well. :)

Idea: SPECIAL FORCE (Bally, 1986) as a Military/Veteran Fundraiser Release?

Well, it wouldn't go to the US military itself, but I see what you're saying. I was thinking more of causes that support injured/disabled veterans and their families. Uncle Sam definitely doesn't need any more fundraisers than it's already got, but veterans and their families are often forgotten...

Idea: SPECIAL FORCE (Bally, 1986) as a Military/Veteran Fundraiser Release?

Had the pleasure of playing SPECIAL FORCE (Bally, 1986) a few times at the Louisville Arcade Expo recently and it was easily in my top 3 favorites of the day. Such a fun table! Naturally, I would love to see it come to The Pinball Arcade, but then, using my experience in Marketing I got to...

    Request Rollergames Williams

Monte Carlo is fun, as well. :) I'd say High Roller Casino has a higher chance of showing up on TPA, though. I'd welcome either.

    Request Rollergames Williams

After having played this table several times recently at an expo, I am convinced that the people who whine and complain about how "terrible" it is online have obviously never played it in person. It's really fun! Yes, the theme, music, artwork are cheesy, and 80s... but so what? If TPA made...

    Table Pack #25 Speculation

Shouldn't it be Table Pack #26 Speculation, now? :)

So TPA is coming to Xbox One in June (hopefully)

Good news for XBone fans. Kind of lame that they immediately get Season 2 though, and PS4 owners still have no new tables at all, with nothing from Season 2 in sight. Only the first couple from Season 3... maybe... in April. :/

The On-Going "What has FarSight said about ___ table?" List Thread

Exactly. It's just a helpful tool. Nothing majorly serious or scientific. It was never meant to be anything to hold FarSight accountable to. I just always liked going to the Facebook page and seeing someone mention a table and then going "oh, cool!" when FarSight actually commented on it. So I...

The On-Going "What has FarSight said about ___ table?" List Thread

Starting now, I will include specific dates with comments, but I am not going back page, by page, by page, by page, by page and copying and pasting dates all the way back to August of 2013 like I did when I began this thread. I spent a lot of time on that, and I thought the information I did...

Request Any chances to see more Stern tables in TPA?

It's a tough situation. Most of the non-license restrictive tables were from Stern's original hey-day of the very early 80s... and those types of early SS tables are generally (unfairly, IMO) called "garbage" by many of the posters on Facebook, and also don't sell as well as the newer DMD and...

How far behind wil we get?

Yeah, they may want to boost T2 up a bit in priority if it's on a limited time schedule. A) It's a big-name table and the sooner FarSight gets it out there, the sooner they can make money off of it. B) As a donor who is owed a copy of the table on the format of my choice, the PS4 was my...

Time For a New Round of "Official" Polls?

Season 3 is well underway now, and many of the previous poll winners, runners up, and top choices have already found their way into The Pinball Arcade. So, I'm wondering if now would be a good time for the forum to revisit the Williams, Bally, Gottlieb/Premier, Data East, and Stern polls, now...
