All I want is one demo game put up on Steam to see if my integrated Intel 4000 chip is a piece of crap or will work. I'm betting the Intel chipset is crap. Just one demo game for all of us to check to see if our computers will run the TPA on Steam. Then I can patiently wait for the release...
+1 - As I've mention my frustration in holding a tablet a few times in the http://digitalpinballfans.com/showthread.php/4848-controller-keyboard-etc-Support thread that is also located in the Android forum.
Thanks for bringing this subject up again, Deltaechoe and it's good to see another...
My top all time ranking is 232 on Centaur. I haven't been playing TPA much lately. Besides not feeling well, I am waiting for either Android controller support or hopefully the Steam release, if my computer can handle the program.
Holding my Asus TF300T for more than five games is really...
Only pinball like me. Pong played me bad after 30 seconds in 72. BS played me bad in 72, but toyed me for minutes 7. Who'd you let play you again. BS said I.
1972 - Three five ball games of pinball for a quarter.
Sorry for my poor imitation of your lingo on this forum, Heretic, but try must...
One other suggestion to those who get mad at some bug or something else that happens with TPA and want to rant. Go to your word processing method on your device and write or speak your rant to that. Take a three hour break and then re-read your post and double check if you really want to...
I had cut my time on this forum a quite a bit the last couple of weeks because of the negativity. Another thing, I noticed that you and Heretic hadn't posted in awhile. The two of you and many other members of this great forum always put a smile on my face when I see their avatar and read their...
Then in a so-called blink of an eye you are 53 and you wonder how the heck did that happen. All you young'uns, after 50 when someone says this event happened 50 years ago, you go I'm not that old. As a friend said "But you are Blanche, but you are."
Real pinball machines are the best by far. They are a physical experience, the palm of hand hitting the bottom crossbar- using the body to physically nudge a ball, where TPA involves dexterity of the hands. The one advantage of TPA tables over the real machines is that a pinball machine in...
Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions. Except for TPA or other pinball sims I may want to try, my computer needs were well taken care of with my old Dell Vostro 1000 with Vista basic. The only thing I really need a powerful gaming PC for is TPA, other pinball sims I may like to try...
I really appreciate you insight on the laptop xAzatothx. I think the best thing to do is just to be patient and see what transpires after the release on Steam. It would be nice when the demo game and TPA hits the Steam store, that someone would do a thread template like Gord did for PC Beta...
Thanks Netizen for your help and opinion. I am not sure what I am going to do. I wanted a computer that played TPA pretty good and what you are describing is maybe okay. I guess that maybe my sister will get this new acer-471-p. It will be a great machine for her.
I have my eye on an Asus...
Thanks for your reply grasshopper. You've helped validate my honestly when I was in a tournament and I accidentally cross posted a score to another table.
TPA has not been released on Steam yet. Like you, I am anxious to see if my computer will work on the Steam release. I have no idea when...
Just think how I feel because I purchased a brand new laptop for playing TPA and the person who sold me the laptop said that the darn Intel 4000 chipset would "Run my little pinball game just fine". He was a gamer himself, I thought he knew what he was talking about. I am not a gamer so I had...
