It also could be more complicated than just dealing with Disney. From my understanding, EA currently has exclusive rights to publish all digital Star Wars games which may mean any licensing might need to involve them as well. Zen either might have better access with someone in licensing at...
The first pinball machines I had regular access to were Data East's Star Wars and Rocky and Bullwinkle. I'd love to see Star Wars, but it almost certainly will never happen. People complain a lot about how much the ramp can be abused for scoring in the original release, and I just don't see...
Fair enough. There are tables I like to soak in the details on as well, but for more modern and complicated tables though, I often need a closer look at the back area of the tables: lanes, targets, etc, to actually understand what I'm aiming at. Rescue 911 is a good example, I had trouble...
Might as well get one serious response in...
As far as I know, only the Addams Family custom balls have any special properties. The Lightning Ball is not affected by The Power on the Addams Family Table, the Golf Ball is lighter and more floaty, I believe the Hurricane Irene ball is faster...
Zen also includes Operator Menu access as well in the base table. I don't really mind the premium with the Pro upgrade for access to the Operator Menu and ball control, but I really think Table Exploration is a basic feature that shouldn't be locked behind an add-on.
Are there different navigation options with the keyboard? I thought it was pretty much the same (Can you skip to a letter with the keyboard, for example). I will admit the # of tables has caused me to play less of anything in the middle of the alphabet lately.
Log.txt for the Steam version doesn't show any table names anymore since the Hurricane release, so they've at least plugged the leak that led to the reveal of the season 5 tables and AC/DC. I would hope they've stopped leaving in similar data for other platforms.
I'd also add that PALACE letters and jackpot value carry from game to game as long as you don't exit the game. Just time out the jackpot if you activate it (Palace drops back to PAL collected) and then hit the ramps over and over until the jackpot reaches 15mil. Easy goal to get if a bit grindy.
Was enjoying Hurricane until I managed to finally get multiball and Clown time going at once. All three balls then instantly took a nose dive down the outlanes. Had to do something else for awhile to cool off. It's a fun table, but can be unforgiving.
Even with the leaks, guessing still hasn't been 100%. And they changed the log.txt file output with the current release so that table names no longer show up there. Should plug any more leaks from that direction.
Besides Monster Bash of course (I know, fictional band vs real band...)
At this pace, the next Kickstarter would be for a Season 8 release. I don't know about any of you, but I find the idea of TPA continuing that long far more exciting than whatever might get Kickstarted next.
I've noticed that sites seem to be more hesitant to spread news about current Kickstarters. They might not want to be seen as endorsing them if the project is funded but fails to deliver.
