Todays update said:
So it sounds like Apple need to get their finger out, and if they start fussing like an old tart, changes might need to be made to be 'Apple-compliant'.
The EMs really need some attention in the sound department too. Table reset sounds, better ball rolling sounds, flipper hum, etc.
Some of the VP tables do this wonderfully and it almost makes you forget you are playing a Sim.
So it has been submitted:
"Late update this week as we were busy testing and fixing bugs prior to submitting iOS version 1.0.0 to Apple for approval. The app is now waiting for review and it will typically be 9 or 10 days until we get the result. This is just the first version as we still have...
I managed to try the app on a friends iOS device. The new table is really top. The sounds and music suit it well. Robo - still great but also prefer the older retro version. Maybe there could be a 'classic' mode or way to disable the shouts?
Will definitely buy when out on Android.
Just came across a nice video on YouTube from Croooow about the Atari VCS game. I know Croooow has been discussed in there forum before as he owns real tables and does TPA reviews.
This was my first virtual pinball experience and I think it was this that gave me the pinball obsession I have...
Now that is an EM I would love to see - have had over 10 balls at once in the VP version.
The multiball (> 10) starts around the 1.50 mark in this video of the really 1956 table:
You are a light room player :)
The PC Alpha builds have the sliders already to adjust lighting, and from what I read iOS has them to (maybe someone can confirm).
This was part of the weekly TODO list they publish:
"Ambient light control option in pause menu settings"
Good idea and please use superglue. :)
As mentioned before the PS4 demo apparently did have more flexible settings, so if sliders or similar are possible that would be perfect.
Not sure if you are aware of the technology that Barnstorm are using, but they are rendering every frame using tech similar to those used in computer animated films. That is how they this kind of photorealistic look:
Plus don't forget that Ask and Farsight already have an engine built...
I think the original table they did was a proof of concept which is why they never showed any gameplay. If we went through the dev diaries they produce weekly and combined into one list it will be easy to appreciate there was a lot to do. They have things working on iOS mobile and Mac, plus...
The thieving comment is a bit strong. Being someone who paid about 100 for the Alpha access and dev diaries which I read weekly I am happy to wait. They only raised about 50K hardly a single programmers salary for one year so I would rather them finish it without going bankrupt again. That...
It would be nice if Farsight could throw in a free EM bonus table each season for Season Pass holders, in addition to the 10 tables. Ask Homework recently announced they are throwing in 9 bonus EM tables for Gold pass holders so 1 table from Farsighted must be a possibility?
