I purchased a game I didn't want (and didn't even download I) just so I could vote this week. If this goes on much longer to the point that even cabinet support is added I would be willing to pay well over the asking price for a disc based cabinet only version. Saynn 300$ for all the current...
Seriously the MS stuff was good in its day like the older VP stuff but the resolution is far too low by today's standard, and the MPA ball physics are apalling. The VP resolution now is full HD, and when seen in a 42inch cabinet you will realise it. In the last 2 years the VP EMs have come on...
Some good points there, but I have to say that the VP EM creations are of an incredibly high standard and MS pinball arcade is no comparison. Here is a screenshot of a 2 screen version of Four Million BC. The second screen has fully working EM reels, and the graphics are full HD. I really...
I have a virtual cab using VP and I definitely will buy the PC version for the multi-screen cab support. However it definitely makes sense to implement fullscreen/portrait mode for consoles as many gamers use monitor/TVs that can easily be mounted on a rotatable bracket. If the feature is...
I still can't believe that Microsoft charge XBox owners to play online. The WII didn't do this, neither does the PS3 as far as I know. You would think that the commission they get per sale plus extortionate fees they charge developers would be enough to make online gaming free. I am beginning...

VP also allows the DMD colour to be changed as well, so while you are implementing the above..... hint hint :)
If it doesn't meet the target you will STILL be getting a lot of the rewards:

They really are a stubborn bunch. How can they justify to refuse to let a game on Steam that has had millions of downloads? Oh hang on, they don't need to justify anything. Call in the monopolies commission we have a Jame Bond type villian who needs to be dealt with.
I would also love to see an optional Hardcore mode as well. Although the game and the latest tables have really come long way in the last few months I do find it a bit easy.
Ball spin is something that isn't in VP yet, and I really hope Farsight can implement it one day.
Great interview - thanks for posting Jeff.
The cabinet mode and Editor stuff sounds very interesting. Now that Bobby has owned up that some tables are made easier than the originals I hope they will consider at some point in the future of adding a 'authentic mode'. I can understand why they...
I think the reason over the years for people not to use them has been the weight, heat, and thickness of the panel. With all the wood, computer, legs, glass, etc. in a virtual pin they are extremely heavy even with a LCD. Also you do occasionally have to remove the screen for maintenance and...
It's a great product which has evolved very quickly. The product gets better and better - a big thanks and congratulations to the designers and developers for investing so much in a Pinball product, and for maintaining such personal contact with people on these forums.
More impotantly don't...
