Byte, you have been around for a long time so rest assured that FS won't invest any resources into the PS3 version. Seeing how small changes can have a bunch of side effects on the PS4, I doubt that FS will risk major changes.
Or do you remember whenever we waited for the latest season tables...
I agree with Kolchak357: if you have the money buy season 1 and 2, and personally I would also buy season 3. Then pick the tables you want based on layout and theme.
If you want to save some bucks (spending less than $100) then only buy season 1 and cherry pick from the others.
This reminds...
Watch the videos on YouTube and see which theme clicks with you. Dracula for instance is pretty brutal but the movie license makes it stand out. Otherwise Monster Bash is a must, CV/Funhouse bundle as well and then maybe Space Shuttle /WW.
It's tough!
I have to agree with shutyertrap. The real world rating doesn't fully reflect how a table plays in TPA. If you have access to Steam or the mobile platform then sample them there and check how deep a ruleset is.
Personally I will go with season 1+3 and cherry pick from the other.
The title says it all.
I plan to buy a PS4 next year as an upgrade from the PS3, which means I have to buy the expiring tables right now. An option would be the physical disc for season 1, which has the core tables, but disc drives don't last forever. The one in my PS3 has died 3yrs ago. :(
Or...
The tournament works fine. I forgot that I wanted to play badly to drop down to silver level. That will provide some good challenge to rise up again. :) Well, nex time.
In another thread someone mentioned that Judge Dread feels slower now. I had a similar impression when I played Who Dunnit...
The challenges are working again! Yesss. :)
yespage: When you can do a live catch then it's safe to assume that Physics 3.0 is enabled. You need to play all the tables of course to verify this...
Tann: Are you sure the transluscent ball bug is fixed? I have a custom ball on Dracula. When...
ZEN is far more appealing as a multisensory experience and good popcorn entertainment. From a pinball perspective it suffers from being so ramp and loop centric, having these super long ball times and having ultra hard wizard modes.
You know, on one hand you feel entertained and in control...
The only other issue I have found so far is with challenges. The Williams challenge can't load Bride of Pinbot and displays "Completed goal 1" instead. The Bally challenge shows a black screen at the first table already.
It's hard to be a Farsight fan if you are on the PS3. The latest update end of September brought us the season 6 tables (yeah) but it seriously broke the GUI.
I am patient as long as I can play and enjoy the tables. This has been taken away. I just tried yesterday but after 4 games the waiting...
Physical environment or not, we are talking about getting the analog world into the digital. Even if you have the impression that something is continuously ongoing, in the computer you slice it up. Some years ago I was involved in an Atari emulator project and I think that the concepts are still...
Even if everything appears to be always running, you split up 1 second in 60 frames (or any other value depending on the desired resolution). During this one frame you do what needs to be done. Any CPU cycles that are left you go to sleep.
The real problem often starts when something nasty...
