Yeah, Ultima Forever (being developed by EA) does not look anything like any Ultima game I ever played.
The videos of Shroud of the Avatar being shown right now are just placeholder graphics so it doesn't look very pretty atm but from the concept art they released so far it looks like it is...
Well, in truth EA owns the rights to the Ultima name so Richard Garriott is creating a spiritual successor called Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues (SotA).
The game is being funded through kickstarter if anyone is interested in checking it out.

I have been waiting for the PC version for almost a year specifically so I start building a pinball cabinet. If Farsight does not include full-screen mode from day 1 on PC I am going to lose it, I am going to burn this mother &%@er down!
Exactly what I did. I couldn't care less about Steam but I signed up and purchased a game (Monkey Island) just so I could vote for TPA. My end game is to build a pinball cabinet so while the console/phone versions have been nice distractions I have only ever cared about the PC version.
Nanotech's Mot-Ion adapter is ok, as are mercury switches but neither are perfect solutions. I am more interested in full analog control.

I will definitely be getting the Pro versions but only for the PC version (if it ever comes out) and only if the PC version supports full screen mode. If not, I might as well just continue using Visual Pinball.
I seem to remember Farsight mentioning in the past that Zen's deal with Marvel/Disney did not block them from gaining the rights to reproduce replicas of real tables based on Marvel characters. I would assume the same would hold for Indy.
