They made a great game and helped contribute to keeping pinball alive. Losing the rights was devastating, as they wouldn't be able to remaster what they had done, if they chosen to do so. Most of their other releases were not good. Regardless, it is unfortunate they are going away.
I can only...
Saw the Blahcade review of the Gottlieb tables. Doesn't sound good., which on one hand, makes me happy that I can't get the upgrades for the ALP, but a bit frustrated that Farsight has effectively given up. I ponder whether their engine simply can't manage it. The Hexagonal stuff gives me a feel...
I finally made it out to the Pastimes in Niles (Girard?), Ohio. A large establishment, with a lot of machines. They had a really good cross section of 50/60's, 70's, 80/90s, and a few more recent machines. They had a lot of banners along the wall with information about genre defining games...
Regarding the Gottliebs and an older engine, they are selling these as 4K, which would have required some substantial upgrades to the graphics. Merely putting them on a 4K screen wouldn't improve things enough, certainly regarding the price to buy the tables. So did Farsight upgrade these, or is...
Looks like AtGames has a few other 4K machines, Star Trek, Peanuts, Addams Family, generic. In general, the machines come with the Zaccaria Deluxe tables in 4K plus whichever table(s) are related to the machine theme. They had the 4K Zaccaria tables on sale for Black Friday, however, without any...
I've been somewhat obsessed with No Man's Sky for a while now. Yesterday was the first time in a bit that I've actually perused the menus and software on the Legends "HD" Pinball. They had "HD" downloads for the Gottliebs and Zaccaria tables. The Zaccaria tables seemed to maybe look a little...
Tried a bit harder to look. It looks like they have the 4K tables and the original ones are being dubbed "HD", which is really fraudulent for the Gottlieb tables. Based on the tables included in the 4K machine, I'd stay away from that unless it has the same pluggability that the HD table has to...
AtGames is releasing a 4K table. Looks nice, probably an upgrade in sorts, but uncertain the actual improvement. But that isn't what I'm wondering about.
They are listing other tables as HD. I can't find any information anywhere about a remastering of the Gottliebs that came with the Legends...
Was that a metaphor or is it coming to Steam April 13th?
quick search Yup. I'll need to give it a look, though more for the Peanuts, My Little Pony, Garfield tables.
Makes one wonder what is the point for the Switch release. If Xbox One can't manage, the Switch can?! Granted, would love to have access to the Peanuts, Garfield, My Little Pony tables. But I can't imagine much visual gain in the tables over FX 3 on the Switch. Already pegging the meter.
Notice no mention of Switch on there. I have doubts of how they can actually make Pinball FX work on that console, but I thought they had mentioned Nintendo for this before.
Simple reality, I don't want to pay up front for something I might not want to buy. The ticket system rewards paying larger up front for an unknown (potentially non-existent) product.
I'm happy to see the tickets gone. What is the point of buying tickets in bulk if you have no idea if you'll use them. It is always possible to package tables up, that is hardly a new concept.
I'll need to check this out now. I'm not in the Epic ecosystem and the ticket thing just threw me...
AtGames is releasing a couple packs of Dr. Seuss tables, three tables 12/20. Magic Pixel again has been contracted to put these together. I presume these are former pinball Gottlieb or Williams tables. The previous Taito tables were pretty good, and I look forward to these tables.
With the...
AtGames released an update to their Legends Pinball machine that turns Haptics on for OTG pinball. I was trying it the other day, and it was a notable improvement on some tables. Newer tables popped better than older tables. Also the Haptics need to be adjusted from table to table. I was...
Can't wait to see what 70s pinball tables Magic Pixel blatantly rip off to reskin these "new" Dr. Seuss tables. :D
That said, this is pretty cool, and I look forward to this haptic ready new content.
