So i can confirm if you paid $500 for the software, they still want $1500 for a total of $2000. If you didnt buy the software, then your down payment of $1500 is all you need to reserve. Frankly, this is really stupid and got me in a bit of a financial bind, because I wanted to make sure I would reserve the software, and since they said on their facebook page that the $500 for the software counts towards the table cost...only later did I find out it doesnt get added to the down payment. So save your $$ if you plan on buying a table and just send them the $1500 and skip the software.

The question then is, if someone pays just the $1500 but not the $500 ($499), then later when the Cabinet eventually ships to them will it even have the Arcooda Pinball Arcade software loaded? The answer may be a big NO, and if that is indeed the answer, it could be a big problem for someone who wanted the Arcooda Pinball Arcade software but didn't pay the $499. Arcooda really should clarify.

Note 1: On 06/22/2018 (U.S. time), an email I received from Steve Josifovski of Arcooda said the following: "Also if you order the Arcooda Standalone software on our www.arcoodapinballarcade.com website @$499usd, this will be completely credited when you settle the balance of the payment on the cabinet. "

Note 2: Under the Arcooda Pinball Arcade software site's FAQ of https://www.arcoodapinballarcade.com/#FAQ one of the items is the following:

What do I get with the Arcooda Cabinet Software version?

Purchase the Arcooda Cabinet Software Version of the Arcooda Pinball Arcade software and receive Arcooda Pinball Arcade cabinet FULL support = Backglass, DMD, 3D Kinect support, 76 Full PRO (if available) Pinball Arcade Tables, New Camera Angles, Touchscreen, Coil, LED and Shaker Functions.

Software will be shipped to you via courier (or we can install into the Arcooda Pinball Cabinet before shipping) and will include 1x USB (game software) and 1x USB (security dongle).

At this point it looks like we’ll just be purchasing the $500 Arcooda-specific software package. A couple of us were going to get together on the cabinet purchase but this whole “wire transfer” thing this close to the deadline has turned us off.

We’ll “roll the dice” on the software package and then wait until the dust settles (September?) and then decide which cab to purchase. We realize we’ll end up paying more this way, but the up front commitment is less plus we’re 100% certain as to what we’re actually purchasing.

That is correct. My most recent email from Valentina states the info the same way that it is explained on the website, and it's pretty clear. Here are some particulars of my order process, in case it might be helpful to someone:

Yesterday morning (that is, well prior to the new FAQ page) I sent an email begging for clarification about the deals and pricing, and also offering to pay in full for the Ultra if they would let me just put it on a credit card. I received a response from Valentina at 7:00 a.m. this morning: No dice on buying the Ultra by credit card, but the $500 software can be purchased by cc. She also provided the same info as the Whats the Deal FAQ, details about their Hong Kong bank for the wire transfer, and contact info for a transport company in Chicago. All very friendly and helpful.

I immediately bought the Standalone software at $499 and tried not to obsess over having just purchased the Steam key a few weeks ago. That cc transaction was smooth, and I received a receipt via email immediately.

But my new concern is this thing about completing the "Order Inquiry". I've exchanged numerous emails with Valentina, have an invoice number for my still-hypothetical Ultra purchase, and feel confident that I'm in the system and have received all pertinent info -- even though I have not completed the Order Inquiry. But this is another real or imagined tripping hazard in our purchasing obstacle course: Did I /need/ to complete the OI? But what if I do, and a new invoice number is generated that doesn't match up with Valentina's records of my file . . . Oh for god's sake.

So I sent off that seemingly ridiculous concern early this morning and am awaiting an answer.

Considering that I should have $499 refunded on my final payment, I figure my total price for the Ultra and the joystick add-on should be $6,150: $6500 + $149 - $499 = $6,150.

Assuming I receive confirmation tomorrow morning that all is ok about the OI of Doom, I will wire the $1,500 to Hong Kong. Phooey for that waste of $50.

My balance when the units ship should be $4,650 ($6500 + $149 - $499 - $1500 = $4,650).

Incidentally, I love the Arcooda upgrades to the standard TPA. I had been playing on a desktop system. Upon hearing about the Steam key for Arcooda's cabinet support, I bought a MSI laptop and two new monitors. I have the game table on a 28" Acer turned portrait, the DMD on the MSI screen immediately to the left of the game table, and the backglass on a 24" Acer elevated above the MSI screen. It worked perfectly the first time, and I've had not problems: Fast, fluid, beautiful. My only bug is that now that I am running FX3 on three monitors and with cab support, I no longer can control entering player initials on the dedicated DMD screen. All I can do is "AAA" and exit out of it. Not a big deal, but if someone has the solution to that little thing, let me know. I also lost mouse control of plunger for ALL Steam pinball games. I had precision control in FX3, TPA, and Zaccaria, now reduced to just visible spring compression no matter what key or mouse input I use. In discussions elsewhere on line, some folks think they have "gained" precise control by reassigning the plunger and launch keys. No. I used to be able to hold that mouse button and fine tune the plunger all day if I wanted. I think/hope that will come back with the Arcooda cabinets.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I suspect a few others were waiting for someone else to leap first, and this is the kink of info that helps. Look forward to other updates all the way to when that box gets delivered.

And it is your helpful comments, shutyertrap, that encouraged me to leap. Or pushed me off the cliff. We'll need to see how I land. Thanks so much for being a guide!

And I've just heard back from Valentina (11:10 p.m., eastern time). Complete confirmation of everything, just as I posited to her and posted here. She does the math exactly the same way I do, and attached a Quotation on their letterhead line-iteming all costs and credits. She also clarifies that I do NOT need to complete the Order Inquiry and am good to go. (Bear in mind that we have exchanged 4 or 5 emails that established details and made the OI unnecessary. This took days, and no longer seems necessary or efficient.)

I now am satisfied that there are no misunderstandings, trick questions, or unclear issues. And I feel great about ordering this unit after 14 months of considering other venders and setting up my 'trial' 3-monitor system. My advice to those who want to buy, is to fill out the Order Inquiry so that Arcooda has your info in a succinct way, and move forward. You will receive clear nstructions about the wire transfer. I see no lingering questions about costs or methodology. Thanks again to shutyertrap for lighting the way.

My bank wants the address on the business account for the wire transfer, but the instructions only have the bank address. I emailed Arcooda... but do you happen to know it, Gusbomb?

I used the address on the web page.

44 - 48 Maitland Road
Mayfield East, NSW, 2304
Australia.

The only thing when I ordered that they haven't fully confirmed is that it's fine that the wire transfer funds probably won't be available until after the 30th. But as long as the software was purchased I assume they're not going to quibble over a few days on the cabinet payment clearing.

Ernie, it's possible my post from yesterday might help you with that:

I received an email 1.5 hours ago from Arcooda, in response to an email I had sent them around 20 hours ago. I am posting some of it here because the last sentence below may helpful to those that are comfortable with, and willing to do, an International Wire Transfer, but are concerned that it won't get to Arcooda before June 30th . It could be that "confirmation of payment" Arcooda mentioned will provide you with what you need to get the advertised extras for those that make the June 30th cabinet related deadline. (If you want to know that for sure, you will need to hear it from Arcooda.) The following in italics was in that email from Arcooda:
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Please note that you can make your credit card purchase of the software via link below - this must be done before the 30th June 2018

https://www.arcoodapinballarcade.com

Payment for the cabinet, can only be made via bank transfer (wire), that is, you must physically go to your bank and transfer the $1500usd deposit into our bank account
.
.

You can then send us a copy of the transaction receipt you will get from you bank as confirmation of your payment.

I went in to make the bank paylent today, but was too late. Bank closes at 6, but wire transfers need to be finished by 4. Heads up for others who are trying to plan out. Otherwise, my experience has been the same as Gus? (Sorry cant find it easily bc iphone). Ill make the paylent tomorrow, send them an image of the receipt, and all should be fine. I also received an order receipt showing the &500 deducted off final cost of table.

I just confirmation from Arcooda. If your bank requires that you enter the account address to wire the money, you use this address, as epetti said.

44-48 Maitland Rd, Ground Floor (Entry via Myola St),
Mayfield East 2304, NSW, Australia

I also got an email confirmation from Arcooda about wire transfer date:

"As long as you provide us with a copy of your banks transaction receipt before the 30th June, 2018 - this will be fine."

I pulled the trigger also, thanks to all for the helpful information posted here and for asking questions at Arcooda’s FaceBook page.

Because of my situation this week physically getting to my bank to do the wire transfer was going to be an issue. I tried Xoom but they will only wire to personal, not business, bank accounts. I used TransferWise instead. The funds aren’t through yet (had to go through the standard ACH setup dance of them making two deposits into my account of less than $1 and me verifying the amounts; the transfer from my account can now proceed) but everything looks above board and I can report back once successful if anyone wants more feedback on TransferWise. The fee for the $1500 transfer will be slightly less than $15, which is most reasonable based on the fees I’ve paid at banks in the past.

well done fellas , I hope you get years of enjoyment out of your tables when you get them . one strange thing why they didn`t take your credit card , I pay everything with my credit card here , I just paid for my cab which is nowhere near the quality of yours , that`s all I could afford , it was $2,600 au. i must admit mine only had to go 37 km from dads place . from what I've seen and from the info from Chris and Jarod on Blahcade , beautiful !!! Chris and Jarod another good one  . just having a break from the World Cup , Brazil vs Serbia next , can`t believe my eyes still , Germany going home

With transferwire, are you using ACH debit? Does that still work? Should we do a wire transfer instead through transferwire? Interested in hearing about your results!

>> one strange thing why they didn`t take your credit card

Arcooda told me it's because there's so much fraud in the industry. Hmmm. Could that contribute to why communications sometimes seemed inscrutable? Maybe the habit of keeping the cards close to the chest.

I paid in full today rather than making the $1,500 deposit. I'm not up on phone money apps, and this didn't seem the time to start dabbling. Since $50 is wasted for each wire transfer I decided to cut that loss to $50 rather than $100, which is better than the 11 cents I'd get a month in interest until final payment is due.

I was looking at Transferwise, but I couldn't find a way to transfer USD to USD. It would only let me transfer USD to foreign currency and Arcooda asked for USD. What did you do?
