There's also machine size. Black Hole and Haunted House suffer from this bigtime. Their SIZE is a considerable part of the appeal as real tables, but that gets lost on a computer or pocket size phone screen.

Yeah, I always crack up at the morons new to TPA that ask for Atari Hercules.

Same for both High Speeds, which are much more impressive with the backbox light toppers.

For Hurricane's crazy full table ramp, look at TOTAN and NGG. Did those convert to TPA? Somewhat so but they lose some of the impact. Same goes for TZ's gumball as a roughly similar mechanism to the ferris wheel.

There's also machine size. Black Hole and Haunted House suffer from this bigtime. Their SIZE is a considerable part of the appeal as real tables, but that gets lost on a computer or pocket size phone screen.

Finally, a somber requiem for Strobe Multiball that is just completely sad in TPA.

Also +1 for Black Hole and especially Haunted House. That last one is an impressive monster of a table in which the three layers are really fun and well implemented. Also the physics in the real table are less on steroids than the TPA version. Honorable mention for the start of TAF MB, it's not badly done in TPA but IRL this packs significantly more oomph.
With the implementation of semi-transparant plastics in NGG, I understand the layout better especially with the glass above the ramps now more clearly present.

Cyclone is pretty awesome. Creepy clown and those awesome ramps. The art is so good and detailed. One of the best non-DMD games ever. I'm sure we'll see it at some point. They have to include it, don't they?

Hey Kolchak !
You've posted this 2 years and a half ago !
They're including it !

+1000 for Strobe multiball, sans strobe.

I would imagine pinball would be pretty hard with only 1 arm !;)

I know you were only joking, and it is off topic for this this thread, but Ben Heck has come up with an amazing solution to this problem as far as real pinball is concerned. I think it is amazing.

Woo-Hoo played just like I remembered it. Couldn't believe that I scored over 8 million on my first game. Glad to have this in our collection.

It's definitely a fun table, but something strikes me as odd. How come there's a jackpot but no multiball?
