Taxi is my favorite PHoF table that we haven't seen yet. I can't wait to play it with the new graphics and physics... and find out I'm even worse at it than before, probably.

Especially on Taxi you can see how much slower the PHOF physics are. I really enjoy playing it anyways, but the TPA physics will hopefully make it a lot faster. On the PAPA video you can really see what a fast table this is! (And the plunger spinout takes ages on PHOF as well.)

I know CFTBL and BK aren't even out yet, but my wish list for the rest of the year include...
Taxi, Attack From Mars, Twilight Zone, Sharkey's Shootout, and Scared Stiff.

Wow that is pretty fast.

A lot of people complain about the ball speed in TPA, but it is pretty close to the ball speed on a well-maintained machine. It probably accelerates too quickly and easily on TPA, but the speeds TPA achieves can be done on real tables. However, those PAPA machines have their pitch set to maximum, so a factory default table would probably not be so fast.

I really hope they release Bad Cats(Williams) this year, it was briefly mentioned that it was a table they planned to release on the Williams collection, but ultimately left out...

It simple, and has neat music, brings back memories as a kid

Ah, interesting! I would love to have the pitch being adjustable in the future (a simple easy, normal, hard setting would suffice).

According to the Pinball Arcade newsletter I got this evening:

"Table Pack #5 Coming in August

Taxi™ will be featured in the next table pack! We will also be releasing another great Stern game that will get your motor runnin’…"

Harley Davidson unfortunately. one of the weakest tables ever produced. Far below average. All you have to do is hit the bike for multiball. really, really lame. hard to find a fan of this table.

yours,
Revlis

Looking forward to Taxi. And I'm at least curious about Harley. I've ridden bikes all my life, so at least the theme will appeal to me. The Harley table doesn't seem to get a lot of love around here. I've never seen or played it. What is it that people dislike about? Is it the sound/music, the layout, the rule set?

The shallow rule set seems to be the chief complaint. It's been too long since I've seen or played one, so I don't remember much about it other than it has a DMD and a motorcycle on the playfield. I played the Sega version, but the Stern is apparently identical except the motorcycle on the playfield is a different model.

I've never played HD... looking at Pinside's ranking (#144), I wonder how this seemingly average table made it into FarSight's first year of DLC (or second or third for that matter). I think we determined there were a SOLID 10-20 non-licensed machines that most of us would purchase the minute the DLC was released.

I'll probably still purchase the table - just seems like a weird choice this early in the game.

If I had to guess, I'd say that TPA is currently really Williams/Bally-heavy and they wanted to include another Stern table. The problem is that almost all the Stern tables have potentially expensive licenses attached to them. The Harley Davidson license was probably not as expensive as most of the others, so it got the nod even though it's not all that great of a table.

If one had taken a peek inside the data files of the Mac app, Taxi and Harley-Davidson .csv files were already there a month ago, predicting the August tables. Wonder what will be there in the next Mac update?
