First Impressions: High Roller Casino

I decided to start this thread so that everyone can express their thoughts on Farsight's newest release, High Roller Casino.

Also, I just wanted to point out that the announcer is the same as the one from Harley Davidson that everyone loves.

Yeah the voice acting is pretty bad. Especially the girl in the match scene. The game is definitely a step up from lca but I am not crazy about it.

Is the LED Sign on the Slot Machine lighting up for anybody in the pc version.I played my first game of this table and i noticed it not lighting up at anytime during the game it just stayed dark.

The roulette "technically" counts as the Skill Shot

There are three options on the Roulette:
- Red = ? Bonus X
- Black = ? Million
- Green = ? Chips

I guess landing on green and collecting chips in roulette would be it, and nudging with correct timing improves your chances. You could also nudge to make the ball complete more spins in roulette for some few more points.

Yeah, the LEDs are dead on my pc version, but live on my iPad.

I love the voice acting! Seriously! The girl is my favourite.
"That's the wrong hole!" and "Green...my favourite color!" are two funny lines.
I like the casino mood and sounds, and actually there is a little excitement in the casino games.
Pretty fun multiballs and modes.

I agree, not nearly as easy as it looks. Tough to get to casino frenzy and the wizard goals look pretty rough too. Should keep most players entertained for a while.

Yeah It should light up since I checked it on my Kindle and it lights up at times.I hope it gets fixed on PC soon.

The table's a drain monster, I've had more than my fair share of balls go straight out of the bumpers and STDM (post be damned!) or into the slingshots and down the outlanes. So there's that.

Wizard Goals are going to be a bear, especially the Super Surprise and the 50x Jackpot.

Also it took 2 tries to register the Extra Ball Standard Goal, and maybe 4 or 5 Craps wins before that goal registered.

And yeah some of the quotes may be funny but the quality of the voice acting leaves a lot to be desired. Also the soundtrack is irritating.

It's actually not that drainy once you get used to it, nudging up when the ball hits a dangerous slingshot or sidedrain is helpful, and of course side nudging when sdtm is coming up.
The wizard goals are not that hard either. The hardest one is probably super surprise, but you just hit that spot target over and over from left cradle and sooner or later it's done. It really helps that it's super easy to post pass frim both flippers and nudge up pass from flipper to flipper on rolling balls.

First impressions:

- Oh god, it's Harley Davidson Guy aKa Voice Acting Intern. I want an option to shut him up!
- Short games. I played 2-3 games before the paywall came up
- This is one of those tables where you have to read the rules. Not yet sure how to activate all modes/light lock
- Not sure if I'm going to buy this table yet, but I want to support sales of Stern tables so we can get more in the future

The rules are pretty simple but there are details that make for fun strategies. Basically win at all 6 casino games for wizard mode multiball or collect 100 chips for another wizard mode multiball. Then there are different strategies to use to make sure you increase your chances of succeeding. Like for roulette, a certain amount of bumper hits lights the corresponding roulette color, so even if you have roulette active you might want to wait until you have lit more bumpers to increase your chanses of winning. So you might lock a ball instead cause then you get to plunge and end up in the bumpers. Because playing any game also costs you chips if you lose. For poker you might want to have a cheat game lit just in case, cause collecting cards is dangerous and you lose them if you drain...and so on.
Then some other fun stuff in there as well, like a regular multiball (just shoot repeatedly at slot machine) and random awards and stuff.

I'm not much of a gambler, so I haven't a clue how to play most of these games in real life. ---will have to actually study the rules on this one. I like the voice clips so far, more entertaining than annoying, the sound effects are great as well. DMD animations are great on this table, sexy pixels
