Now that Farsight have redesigned the leaderboard to remove the reliance on Facebook, it makes sense to add some richer functionality to the boards.
Many of us on the forum like to compete against a small group of players, and find it hard to wade through the pages and pages of scores to see where our friends are currently sitting.

Why go to this trouble?
Many of us on the forum like to compete against a small group of players, and find it hard to wade through the pages and pages of scores to see where our friends are currently sitting.
Proposed Implementation
- Create a web-browsable version of the Farsight leaderboards for friends management.
- Allow a brief profile, limited to social media accounts and PAF username (if this differs from the FS leaderboard registered name) - this is mostly for accurate metadata searching on the leaderboards system.
- Allow users to hand-pick a selection of user names to compete against.
- Create a Farsight Friends leaderboard (name is arbitrary).
- Enable notification push on mobile devices to alert you when a friend has trumped your score on a table.
- Enable other notification services on other consoles to do the same.
- Have a weekly summary for the Farsight Friends leaderboard.
Why go to this trouble?
- Hand-curating a list of people you actually care about in the game will act like a mini-tournament each week.
- It will push you to strive for pinball excellence.
- The Farsight Friends you choose would not be inclined to cheat on tables, because it would mean their friends circle would rapidly decrease.
