Besides that frank centaur seems to have the score rollover bug like TOM did for PS3 tournament closest to 9,999,999 wins :( hack away!

Here's screen caps of what leaderboards look like on PS3. To those that don't think the boards should be reset, why? I think having to recapture your glory, thereby playing tables you might not have touched in a while, a good thing. Keeps everyone honest. Now I don't usually pay attention to the master list, due to having to look at mobile scores, instead looking at my friend's scores. Except currently I can't because it looks like this...

These next two pics are the obvious offenders. Personally, I can't stand these douches, and they do not represent the pinball community at large. However, it is precisely because of the dicks responsible for what is posted in Central Park and Firepower that I went through the effort to compile everything. Witness and ban these pricks...

Who knows what other questionable scores are sprinkled throughout the boards, but it really taints the whole thing. Again, reset boards now and then, maybe it will stop this. Kinda like graffiti, if you constantly paint over it, eventually they'll move on to a different wall.

This next batch are the questionable ones. Are they hacked or not? You see some of the same names that appear elsewhere, but then you've got a PS3 score that is right there too. Thoughts?

With Ripleys, the other than that one score, the first 50 or so are all mobile scores.

Finally, here are the boards I think are on the up and up. Again, point out if you disagree.

Just to show explicitly what Central Park and Firepower say...

Start the countdown clock on how long it takes for FarSight to notice and fix THAT. They're being openly challenged now.

It is curious how AfM says the top score was from mobile, I played that on a Mac. Probably has to do with the mosltly identical codebase between iOS and Mac. The score itself is most definitely legit, though.

for me this whole High Score mess and lack of speedy fix has been hugely damaging to the amount I play TPA. At least the "dicks" above are clearly showing there is a problem. I'm more concerned about the people abusing these bugs to get more realistic looking high scores which can't be detected as cheats.

I won't be participating in any more tournaments until the scoring bugs are resolved. Isn't it just a waste of time with the system as it is right now?

The leaderboard is quickly going from bad to worse. I don't know what's taking FarSight so long.

From what I've read there were different issues at different times. People have spoken about a problem with RBION right after the original mobile release that added 10 or 20 billion to some people's scores. I personally think that #1 is legit since it happened recently and that person had other scores in the billions previously. I also think that #9 is either legitimately 12 billion or should have been 2 billion if what was said previously is true. That user has some other good scores and I would consider him more of a victim of a glitch than anything else.

Finally, here are the boards I think are on the up and up. Again, point out if you disagree.

Since its been stated that this exploitable bug can post scores from any table to any other table's leaderboard the only one I really trust completely is AFM. That's just since there are no higher scoring tables to exploit for it. Even though some of the other tables don't have any blatantly false scores on top I'm sure there are plenty of less noticeable false scores in the list. Some of them are probably even there by accident too.

One simple fix would be allow users to select a user to ignore on the high score list. someone's score is too high to be true? just click ignore and never see any of their scores again.

I'm curious to know how "Have fun cleaning up your leaderboard" managed to get identical scores on Central Park and Firepower. Also there are a couple of bogus scores on CP not ending with a zero. With my knowledge of the bug, I wouldn't be able to pull that off. Looking forward to having an open discussion about this once these exploits have been dealt with by FarSight.

Hoping they can fix these once and for all, then reset.

I'm still a firm believer in keeping the mobile scores off of the console Leaderboard. They play very different in most cases and it doesn't make sense to group them together.

It makes about as much sense as merging scores from the old Williams Pinball Hall of game tables with TPA.

I am sick of seeing (mobile) on the leaderboards. The tournaments are separate why not the leaderboards? and every platform has its advantages or disadvantages mobiles had no nudge but are more forgivable , 360 no lag and no current DLC's an EASY FIX for PS3 leaderboards make it only PS3. I dont think they've been hacked although there was a suspect score for TOTAN in the last tournament possibly a exploit of the table and not the leaderboard.

Well I'm pretty sure how the high score glitch works having just accidentally posted a score of 42m for Central Park in the IOS tournament. Kinda ruined the tournament for me now as I won't expect or want that score to stand and I'd recorded a genuine score of around 5000 before that happened.

Thanks mrtangerineman for admitting you made mistake. I did the same thing in the last tournament playing Cactus Canyon and my score was transposed to the Space Shuttle leaderboard. It ruined the tournament for me. I would send a email to support@pinballarcade.com and tell them of your mistake and how you did it. I'm not sure how much that will help.

Welcome to the Pinball Arcade Fans Forum. Hope you enjoy this forum. There are a bunch of great people here who love pinball and TPA. Plus, there's a few jerks, but it takes all kinds to make the world go 'round.

mrtangerineman, please don't post anything on this forum on how the bug works. I am sure you know that, but just want to make sure.

Cheers! Don't fret over your mistake. People on this forum are very forgiving.
