I know that, of course! But with Zen it's generally pretty difficult to do. It varies per table. Could be deliberate, Zen like to shake things up.
Who needs to post-pass in Zen when you can easily slam/nudge-pass from cradle to cradle? Take advantage of the pinball super-powers they give you, its far less risky than trying a post-pass with the exaggerated physics. The slam/nudge-pass is not a thing in the real world (because of tilting) but it is in Zen.
With the ball cradled on the left side a full-force nudge diagonally up-right will knock the ball right over to the other flipper for an easy cradle. If you're not in a timed mode just hold it a few seconds afterwards to let the tilt sensor reset (in case you need to do a bang-back soon after) and you're golden. Zen can't be slam-tilted, you have to get a 3rd warning within a certain time (something like 20 or 30 seconds), so take advantage of that.
Edit: To get back on topic (sorry for digressing).. The flipper physics in TPA have been improved noticeably since its release. Some of the newer tables have a bit of recoil bounce at end of stroke which makes me think they're getting close to the realism needed for live and drop catches to be done on a regular basis.
