Most Wanted Feature? Dream with me...

Looking back to TPA's early days, we all had dreams and visions of different features and options we'd like to see in the game. A few of those things have made it in, such as improved touchscreen nudging controls (thanks Stuart), the event camera toggle (thanks Mike), mobile controller support (thanks Ryan)...etc...but since DLC is the main development focus, the list of features can seem a bit thin, especially for those of us who are still holding onto the dream of some particular feature/mode/option we've been longing for since day 1.

So I'm curious: we had the wish list thread early on, but now that the game is well over 2 years old: do you still have dreams for TPA? If you could add a particular feature to game, what would it be? Has that changed since when you first started playing TPA?

Feel free to add a few of your top "dreams" and to go into as much detail as you'd like. :D

For me, it would be:

1.) Difficulty options...the dream has been a mode with tournament type difficulty with its own leaderboard. Really all that's needed is extra balls disabled and a stricter tilt sensitivity. Maybe someday? My wrists aren't getting any younger :)

2.) DX11 graphics on PC...when it comes to pinball in general, it's a highly visual experience and the lightshow is a big part of pinball. Well, I just recently tried the PS4 version for the first time and the improved lighting adds a lot to the immersion, and I do mean a LOT...but Steam needs some eye candy love!

3.) Multiplayer...for those who dig it, head to head multiplayer games are addicting. There are certain games that keep me coming back daily because the multiplayer is so damn fun. Wish I could say that for TPA...guess we won't see it till the UI is done...c'mon Farsight!

That's really about it for this dreamer...nighty night

Definitely head to head multiplayer, as well as just multiplayer challenger stuff. Zen despite its many faults does that stuff really well. The popups about the next guy on your friends list to beat might be a bit distracting in TPA for some people, but as an option you can turn on or off it'd be really cool. It adds a little excitement and pressure to the playing.

That's not to say I'm not looking forward to DX11. I'm just kind of ok with the graphics as they are already so anything extra will be just a nice bonus.

I'm also dreaming that there's some way they can start putting out more old EM tables without hurting their bottom line. I'm not sure if I'm just a broken pinball player, but I really really like the old simple and brutal target bank shootouts, and there are some really incredible tables from the 70s left. The artwork from a lot of tables in that era is incredible as well.

Yeah give us tournament settings and leaderboards for shorter games too please.

The Android beta for this was quite awesome. It is still a planned feature FTR.

For me:

Google Play Games support. The full monty, including:
- cloud backup
- leaderboards
- achievements
- multi player (this is a native feature using this platform). It is not cross-platform which is what prevented Ryan from being able to implement it.

So many Android folks can't easily back up their achievements. This would solve this issue.

Would love another art pass on the Season One tables and early season 2. They look outdated compared to Season 3.

I agree with everything you say,Jeff!

With the difficulty settings - it would make the tournaments that much more interesting. Also, putting a smile on the faces who have issues with how easy gameplay on TPA can be.

Onto DX 11 for PC. My only regret about upgrading my desktop PC was why didn't I do it sooner? After taking care of that - and finally being able to play at a speed other than molasses going up a hill - I liked the Steam version enough that not only did I go out and buy the S1 pro pack - I figured out how to get my PC up & running on my HT system as well!

Multiplayer is one of the really cool features about Zen & Pinball FX2. Hopefully FS does make this happen someday.

I'd also like to see some more EMs in TPA - but my biggest wish is that TPA is continued for more than one or two more seasons. The more tables to play hopefully will equal out to more people playing TPA. It could happen - Harmonix had weekly DLC for Rock Band (on the Xbox360 at least) for over 5 years!

Multi-Controller support for the consoles (yes I will bang the table for this until it happens or FS goes out of business)

Multi-player support

Fix some of the first 2 seasons lighting and art (MB, Taxi, etc...)

As a PC player on Steam, my most wanted features:

- Looking forward to DX11/improved lighting. It doesn't even have to be more photorealistic, just "light" and "dark" options would be great... and the removal of the pink hue on some tables.

- Overhaul of the UI/menu system so that it looks a lot cooler and more professional.

- Remodelling of some toys, such as the characters in Monster Bash and the skull in T2.

- Call me crazy, but am I missing an option for the game to save my high score initials globally so that I don't have to input them?

- Free look mode on all tables as a standard feature, and/or an attract mode where the roaming camera is more specifically tailored to show off table features.

I would definitely like to se my scores on google play, in relation to other like minded players. Competing is definitely a big motivating factor.

Great thread, Jeff.

-My nr. 1 wish is updated physics and since we are talking dreams here, I would like Farsight to strike a deal with Pro pinball to make Ade help out in that department.
-Dx 11, of course and some serious love for the pc version of the game including better color handling than the ps4 version. (To much saturation on the ps4)
-Also working full screen, real radeon support, bug fixing and cab support
-More older tables in TPA and Pinball after dark with capcom support to top it off

Now is that so much to ask for ;)

I'd certainly like to see a "Tournament Mode" toggle. That'd be cool.

Also can we get a drunk guy sliding a quarter onto the table and hanging around at a just-too-uncomfortable distance, silently waiting for you to finish your game, and looking real annoyed when you get a replay and positively look like he's going to punch you in the face when you get a match?

The ability to transfer your save data from PS3 to PS4. Don't want to do it all again!
