That table looks really cool, never saw it before! The flashing flipper is a simple but great idea, why don't more tables have that?

Medusa had lighting on the flippers ( bottom ones ) and it was in this poll, I really like the flipper on the right outlane of Embryon it was such a good idea and I don't think many tables used this design.

Sorry. I didn't mean the visual effect (though it's nice, too), but the concept of flippers that are enabled or disabled as a part of the table's features.

I'm assuming you mean flippers disabled not as part of an automatic shot (The Addams Family's Thing Flips) nor as part of a timed mode (AC/DC's lower playfield). In that case, I'm not aware of any machine that does so. There are a few that reverse the flippers (The Simpsons Pinball Party's Springfield Mystery Spot, Cactus Canyon Continued's Drunken Multiball), but I don't know any that actually kills them as part of a mode.

If I ever get Sin going, though, its Dark Machine Multiball is planned to feature (virtual) flippers that randomly move on their tracks on their own (and they're unpowered while moving), and the Hell Frozen Over part of the wizard mode cuts power to the entire playfield for 2 seconds after each shot. But I don't think we can count Sin as a "real" table, or even a "real" virtual table, at this point.

EDIT: Although...if Sin really would be the first machine to have that feature...maybe I should do some research and get a patent... :p

I've liked all the Bally tables that end with "-on" and the flipper save was, in my opinion, always superior to magna save. Both required steps to earn them but the magna save was totally about reflexes where the flipper still required a bit of skill but you had more time to engage it in most cases.

I agree with you completely. A nice wide outlane with a small flipper protecting it always seemed like a good idea to me.

Welcome to the forums, ayuthaya. Addams is a premium licensed table MADE by Bally, those aren't the same. However, I have heard that Bobby is attempting to get the table rights completed so we might have a November release! You're welcome! :)

I'm choked I missed out on this poll. I should have been paying more attention. I just discovered Spectrum via the PAPA video on pinball.org. Wow, that is a trippy game! The whole circuit board artwork, four-color theme (does anyone remember Simon from around that era?), crazy voice-over. "Another game, perhaps?" It's the same year and maker as Centaur, and considering what a hit that turned out to be, I think Spectrum would really fly. I think 1981 is THE year that defines the 'eighties somehow. I'm not sure why, but something changed after that. There was still this incredible optimism about the future and technology, and personal computing was in its infancy. Something about using a circuit board theme on a pinball table is pure genius.

Paragon and Eight Ball Deluxe need votes. That is all.

And no, I won't believe EBD is in the pipeline until I see it.

The poll standings for this poll are now hidden for the duration of the poll series. The Top Ten Most Wanted Bally Tables, as voted by the pinball community, will be revealed on Friday September 6, 2013.

Reveal day! The anticipation is killing me. :D

I agree. We need Party Zone on TPA. It is one of the must have tables that is needed to be on TPA at some point in time.

3) Judge Dredd (1993) - 199, 53.64%
4) WHO Dunnit (1995) - 198, 53.37%
5) Safe Cracker (1996) - 194, 52.29%
6) Xenon (1980) - 163, 43.94%
7) The Party Zone (1991) - 160, 43.13%
8) Corvette (1994) - 155, 41.78%
9) Eight Ball Deluxe (1981) - 150, 40.43%

11) Flash Gordon (1981) - 106, 28.57%
12) Space Invaders (1980) - 103, 27.76%
13) Fathom (1981) - 102, 27.49%
14) Paragon (1979) - 87, 23.45%
15) Medusa (1981) - 75, 20.22%
16) Strange Science (1986) - 71, 19.14%
17) Mousin' Around! (1989) - 69, 18.60%
18) Embryon (1981) - 68, 18.33%
19) Radical! (1990) - 63, 16.98%
20) Spectrum (1981) - 59, 15.90%
21) Elektra (1981) - 55, 14.82%
22) Mata Hari (1978) - 52, 14.02%
23) Strikes and Spares (1978) - 51, 13.75%
24) Evel Knieval (1977) - 48, 12.94%
25) Fireball Classic (1985) - 47, 12.67%
26) Eight Ball Champ (1985) - 45, 13.21%
27) Future Spa (1979) - 45, 13.21%
28) Fireball II (1981) - 35, 9.43%
29) Silverball Mania (1978) - 33, 8.89%
30) Nitro Ground Shaker (1980) - 14, 3.77%

My full analysis will be posted shortly, but there seems to be something of a "triumph of the underdogs" theme here. With Jon Trudeau and Dennis Nordman, two of pinball's most underappreciated designers, each getting two of their tables into the top 10, the tone is set for a comparatively experimental, free-wheeling group of pinball tables that features Pat Lawlor's great pinball-board-game hybrid Safe Cracker, a table that pushed pinball storytelling to its limits in the form of WHO dunnit and the last premiere of a major pinball designer to date in the form of Corvette. There also is much more love for early solid states here than in the Williams poll, with 5 early solid states eclipsing 100 votes. I'll have a fun time analyzing this poll, I'm sure...
