Pinfest Allentown- It's That Time Again!

Next week May 4th and 5th, 2018 is Pinfest time again. I plan on being there for both days again this year. Anyone else plan on going? Anyone looking to buy any pins? Share your thoughts & plans.

Supposed to be Iron Maiden, Houdini, Jersey Jack Pirates, and the new Alice Coopers pins there. I'm sure the wait will be awful though.

Supposed to be Iron Maiden, Houdini, Jersey Jack Pirates, and the new Alice Coopers pins there. I'm sure the wait will be awful though.

Coin Taker have been pretty good with getting a number of Stern units on the floor, so I don't expect Iron Maiden to be much of a wait if they have the usual 3-4 going.

The rest, I'm not holding out much hope for. I can't really handle lining up for a quick go on those pins. Guess I need to be in the door early and go straight for them.

Went today. Good thing there was about 10 Iron Maiden’s scattered about. Kept the lines down. Only one Total Nuclear Annihilation. Couple Houdini’s. Only one JJP POTC was working. Prices seem to keep going up for anything solid state.

Iron Maiden is really cool. Love the art and the layout. I’m a fan of the band so that helps. Still not sure if I wanna sell my games to buy one though. Still really like Metallica too. TNA was ok. Great light show but if I want techno music I’d get Tron. My dad’s a big fan of Theatre of Magic so he really liked Houdini.

Got lunch at the Allentown Farmer’s Market as always and picked up some meats and deli to take home. I only make it there once a year so gotta take advantage.

Great show as always. More women every year and that’s a plus. Oh, and the “real” PONG game was cool. Not 3k cool but still cool.

One Alien too and always a line. Didn’t really care to play it anyway. Shame about all the buyers that got screwed.

Thought Iron Maiden was a hit as well. Multiball with four flippers going was a real adrenaline rush. Layout is great, almost a Twilight Zone feel to it. The left ramp shot through the bumpers is surprisingly easy to hit and fells great when you you make it. The art and animations are very nice. Couldn’t really hear the pin with all the noise at the show.

They must have tweeked Houdini in some way. Last year I had so much trouble hitting the shots. Today I had no trouble hitting shots and loading the trunk. The Houdini theme clicks with me and I enjoy playing this one.

Alice Cooper is beautiful in person. Really thought the comic book style animations were great. The castle is so cool! But shooting the shots around the select monster mode area were brick city for me. Kinda killed the fun for me. Maybe if I could have played a few more games on it. But there was only one ACNC there and the lines were long.

Didn’t get to play Alice Cooper. Lines were always long. Looks like Spooky’s first real top notch game though. I could swear whoever designed the castle mold looked at Castle Grayskull from He-Man and said “yup.”

Airborne - Can’t remember ever playing this one. Played very fast. Interesting ramp system.

Time Warp - My wife found the banana flippers interesting. After playing it she changed her mind and called them stupid.

Farfalla - Such a pretty backglass. Almost x rated.

Guardians of The Galaxy Pro - Didn’t think I would like this one, but we both found it surprisingly fun.
