Question about the future of Pinball Arcade

New user here. I grew up playing pinball in a small town arcade. So I rarely saw many of the tables found in Pinball Arcade but did play Haunted House, High Speed, Black Knight, Firepower, Centaur, and Fish Tales. Out of those High Speed was my favorite. Can't wait for the Getaway.

As pinball lost popularity to the video game industry I didn't play as much but did notice whenever there were pinball video games released. Naturally most of them were not very good and wouldn't hold my interest for very long. Obviously that changed with Pinball Arcade. It's the real deal. I feel like a kid again playing old tables that I remember playing as well as new tables I never played. I purchased the first 3 seasons on Steam within about a 1 week span and I am enjoying it tremendously. Got some friends interested in the game as well.

My question in regards to Pinball Arcade and Farsight Studios is the long term plans. Obviously the game is pretty successful. Do we know how many seasons Farsight is projecting? I would assume the plans are for at least 5 seasons of the game? Has Farsight said anything about this?

Thanks all.

They have said they already have plans for season 5. But have also said they will continue to sell them as long as people keep buying them. I assume this means they will keep going as long as it is profitable.

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum, I think FS has 4 or more seasons up their sleeve yet, plenty of pins still need to get made.

Couldn't of said it any better TNT. I'll just add a ditto to it. Great games...if they can follow it up with better marketing and competition software...they can get big in a hurry. Future of virtual pinball is exciting... Yap

From what I understand, the plan was always to bust out as many unlicensed popular tables as possible, and then maybe in the future try to get the licensed ones. Obviously it takes time for the licensed ones. You hit the nail on the head with the marketing. I've come across people that have played the Gottlieb collection and/or Williams collection, who had no idea there was a sequel. I'm not sure how many new buyers there are, but if things went right, they would love to make the licensed tables aswell sometime down the road. This is why I tell everyone about it, it makes me come off as a weirdo tho lol

I buy all the Pro Mode games on IPad 3, PS3/Vita, and PS4, I have put in $100 and $200 dollars for Kickstarter games. So I feel I have helped support Farsight big time, I have all the tables for iPad 3, the rest I will get when they come out. The Addam's Family is the game that seriously got me into Pinball big time, I was in my 20's when I started playing Pinball, now with Farsight on the scene I don't think I will ever stop buying their games. I really hope to see Rescue 911, Safe Cracker, Family Guy, and The Wizard Of Oz and The Hobbit someday down the road, only time will tell. I want them to get S.A.M. System from Stern emulated so we can get Family Guy, Spiderman, The Walking Dead, Tron Lagecy, and many other newer Stern games someday.

Is there a discussion of possible tables or wanted tables somewhere that I am missing? I don't see threads like that that people are posting to.

Yes, the Unreleased Table Discussion section where folks bring up their fave table that would be cool to bring to TPA.
