I think that Hulk Hogan might be okay with it, since I don't think there was any problem when he was included on WWE All-Stars, and I think the WrestleFest remake had him too.

Ugh, Hulk Hogan makes this very unlikely to work.

He's currently working for TNA, who is considered a competitor for the WWE. I'm sure even if they got all of the WWE guys on board (through whatever means) they'd have trouble being able to negotiate with Hogan without TNA blocking it.

But given the way TNA has been run recently, I wouldn't be surprised if Hogan has his own image rights and can negotiate regardless of what TNA wants.

Imagine if the game made it to market with the prototype translite:

image-28.jpg

Then you'd throw in:

Miss Elizabeth
Rowdy Roddy Piper
Earthquake
Typhoon
British Bulldog
Brian Knobs? (Guy in the Sharpshooter)
Sid Vicious/Justice
Ultimate Warrior
Ted DiBiase
Ric Flair (WOOOO!)
Sgt. Slaughter

Hard to make out the guys getting beat up by Earthquake, Bret Hart, Sgt. Slaughter and Boss Man at the bottom. As mentioned, the guy in the Sharpshooter sort of looks like Knobs, but come to think of it, the guy getting beat up by Boss Man does too! Not sure if these are meant to be anyone in particular, or just jobbers.

And WTF is up with that illustration of Taker? Partial credit for capturing his super intense stare, but something about it seems really off...

Resurrecting this thread because of the discussion in the TAF KS one. I recently got to play one at a fellow BPA (Boston Pinball Association) members house. The game was in pristine condition (all of his tables were) and was a lot of fun to play.

At the very least,Farsight should contact WWE & talk to the McMahon family if this could get done. It should be a possibility at the very least...

I've been trying to find this pin locally, but to no avail. I'm a huge old school WWF fan.

Are those the actual wrestlers voices, or did they use voice actors for the callouts?

It is indeed their actually voices. The "Macho Man" comments are a dead giveaway. lol

It'd be a fun table to have and perhaps the license wouldn't be too hard to obtain since it's basically all under one banner. WWE will put their name on anything, why not an old beloved pinball table with legends they still employ on a regular basis?

Sadly, a lot of those wrestlers are dead. ("Mr. Perfect", "Yokozuna", "Doink the Clown", "The Big Boss Man", "Crush")

Ultimate Warrior died recently too, RIP. This table would be a great addition to TPA, imagine how many new fans will be introduced to TPA with wrestling marketing etc.

terrible. I never understod the love for those fakers. Even porn on the radio is more interesting than that.

IMHO the styles outside the US (Japan and Mexico) that involve more acrobatic maneuvers can be interesting to watch, regardless of the contrived storyline.

Occasionally I've seen wrestling like that in the US, too. But most of it these days is big heavy gym addicts lumbering around, kind of boring. With contrived, often juvenile storylines to boot.

It would be a licensing nightmare with the WWE, plenty of estates, and the World Wildlife Fund (they lost the right to call it the WWF since 2002). I'm sure it would be as difficult to acquire as Guns N' Roses. However, I think The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle would be an easy license to acquire; even Zen Studios had hold of the license before they hit it big with Marvel, Popcap, Telltale, and South Park Studios.
