They would have to get the License to do Capcom games first. They also have said it would have to go into Pinball After Dark because of the more adult theme. So it won't be coming any time soon. :(

Actually they mentioned recently that they have the rights but the emulation would be too difficult.

The only one of these that I may possibly support is Jurassic Park for sentimental reasons. I am really against doing any more kickstarters because I would rather have them do more 80's tables and earlier ones. I enjoy the later tables too, but I just want more variety. I am kind of annoyed that try didn't do another early Stern or more early Bally's. They should really look into Spectrum, which would make an awesome video game conversion. Okay, I'm done ranting.

Though I would like to see TSPP, I voted for Metallica. Played it back in May at the Allentown Pinfest and really liked it.

My personally most wanted from this list is The Shadow but i'm not sure how much support it would get.
I voted for AC/DC.Would be something else and the band is very popular which might secure the kickstarter goal.I'd also welcome Jurassic Park(new movie in the works, maybe an licensing opening for the old pin...the more promotion the merrier), all these tables would be a cool addtition to TPA.

Metallica!
It's new, I love their music for 25 years.... Never actually seen the machine irl.

I think it would be great when Stern will have some TPA licencing in their contracts for new machines from the beginning.
So when a new machine is born a TPA license is already discussed

Yeah, should we consider that Metallica and AC/DC are probably out of reach by the technical emulation concerns?

Anyway TSPP will easily win this by a landslide.

I agree with TSPP for many reasons, even though I like Metallica and AC/DC better.

The deep ruleset would translate well to TPA, plus the Simpsons license itself would bring in a lot of new fans to TPA that might not be into pinball normally. Metallica and AC/DC might also bring in some new fans but the tech issues with the newer boardset that you mentioned is something to consider. Also, partly because I'm definitely buying a Metallica fairly soon and a few of my newly made pinball friends own AC/DC premiums that means I will have a chance to play the real things quite a bit.

They do what sells and what the majority of fans want, based on the many polls that are out there.

The want for early 80's tables is not that great, hence why we haven't seen too many of them.

Wow! You never get tired of telling us that, Dokken? The things you think is the only factor is only one of many factors(facebook and polls), and boy do you know how to destroy other peoples pinball hopes. Nobody talk down your suggestions for tables. Why don't you show the same courtesy once in a while. You have some great suggestions, let others have the same, please!

This is getting into the citing of sales numbers game. Alongside your "there's not enough requests" assertions.

Can you provide some proof of this for your next posting.

Jurassic Park all the way, baby! I've only played TSPP very briefly, The Shadow quite a bit but it's not a patch on JP. Whilst the two music ones are real-nice-to-haves, they're too new and the rights would be too insane to even consider them. Also, which edition of AC/DC?

This is public forum where people discuss various topics with various opinions. So basically what you're saying is that you can endlessly talk about the love of early 80s tables and how Farsight needs to make some, but I (or others), cannot say "I hate to tell you, but the company is going to make what the majority want and what sells the most- which isn't early 80's tables"? I'm sorry, but that's not how it works. If different opinions bother you to the point where you need to directly come at me, then you should probably stay away from public forums or block me so you cannot see my posts. I would think that most people would agree that if everyone had the exact same opinion, the world would be pretty boring.

Furthermore, if you actually paid attention, there are quite a few early 80's tables that I've said I'd love to see, but I'm not going to go on rants saying "I'm annoyed at the company, they need to start doing tables that I like, like table X, Y, and Z". Again, don't take my word for it, just ask the company reps yourself. They're going to tell you the exact same thing as I stated here, because they've said as such many, many times.

I base my opinions off of what the Company themselves state on the FB page and on what rates on the polls. (Farsight has repeatedly said that they pay attention to certain polls) You know what tables are heavily requested and what tables are always killing in the polls?

*Mid 80s-Late 90s pinball tables.*

Let's do a check on many of those tables are already on TPA Vs early 80s tables and EMs:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pinball_Arcade#Table_key

Weird, I only see a handful of tables from 84 and under. I wonder why that is? (Hint- Only 13/50 are tables from the years 1984 and under)

Sure, you can dig through the FB page (Or on here) and find all the responses there yourself. I've quoted them, many times, in these pointless little debates that people love to have.

Again, only 13/50 tables already in TPA are from 1984 and under. I think that speaks for itself.

Picked Shadow, though I´m really interested in Simpsons as well. I mean, I´ve been watching the Simpsons ever since they started airing here in Germany.

I LOVE the presentation on Shadow, though, I love the mysterious aura it has.

And it´s weird, I´ve never checked out JP before - playfield looks very Lawlor-style to me (Whirlwind in particular), which I definitely like, lots of blue and other bright colors, nice T-Rex head - I defnitely wouldn´t mind as well!

And while I´m not a fan of either bands, both AC/DC and Metallica look totally sweet as well.

...yeah, how about all of them :D

Agree that JP looks very much like a PL game. Never played it but heard some good things about it. Probably on top 5 of Data east games

JP table layout is a virtual ripoff of TAF. The modes work the same as TAF but Wizard More is very different and multiball is VERY different but a huge amount of fun and one of the hardest challenges in pinball (getting the max Super Jackpots WITHOUT the smart missile).

JP is a lot of fun. But it's tough to find one where the dinosaur works. Always seems to be broken.

The bar I played it the most, whenever the tech showed up, there was usually something wrong with T-Rex. Great idea, shame about the shoddy build quality (something that can be said about most Sega/DEs from that era, sadly).
