Hahaha, how did that work out? Been more than a couple of months. Thanks for the great work. At least somebody cares about cab support, it sure isn't FarSight!!

I'm thinking my way through the image manipulation side of things right now, probably take a stab at it sooner than later.
If they'd give me an API for the DMD so I could move that too, then we'd really be cooking.
FarSight's business is up to them, I'll refrain from comment of the timeframe, but there are some features I'm still looking forward to, hopefully it will come eventually.
I'm glad this little something-something app has at least helped a bit in the meantime!

This should have been an option from launch, but thanks for all your hard work. Future Pinball does it fantastically and easy hope PA takes a note from a game that is free to play.

Hmm, no but thank you for that... I'm sitting down right now with a fresh cup of coffee to try to get a working system for image switching... the problem I'm having right now is getting new tables in without having to reset your entire list. I may have an option in mind but will have to see how it plays out...it would mean always adding the newest table to the end of the file so the existing ones would be in a nice table browser order with all the new tables stuck at the end... more than likely that's how this is going to work out but hopefully I'll stumble across something more elegant...
If my good buddies at FarSight want to take a crack at it, I'm happy to email a nice VS12 project folder I'm sure they have nothing better to do than tweak bathtub apps ... a moveable DMD would certainly be a wonderful help

Here you go as promised (finally)!! Image Switching!!
That's right, you can now use whatever image you want on a table by table basis!

This is a pretty major overhaul for me so I put it into it's own little container (BG4U2). You'll have to un-install the existing one to update as it deliberately causes a conflict. Sorry you'll have to re-enter your settings so check them first and write them down if it's critical. The changes made it necessary.
To use with standard images, you will see a message on first launch telling you it's creating the default list which is just that, a list saying you want to use all the "canned" images. Hit the "C" button on the toolbar and re-enter your coordinates and values.
To change images, hit the "C" button (which you'll have to do anyway to re-enter your coordinates) Hit the new "Images" button at the bottom, this will open a new window showing every table currently in the game. Simply hit the "Change" button for the table you want to replace, browse to an image (only image formats are supported drrr) and select "OK". Repeat for all the tables you want to replace then scroll to the right of the window and hit "Save". "Reset" will re-create a default list and wipe out all changes. "Cancel" just closes the window with no changes.
After you've saved your new image list (anything not changed will continue to use the default) you will have to close and re-launch BG4U entirely to use the new list. Once you see the toolbar window, all the programs settings are read and locked in.
When BG4U re-loads, it will keep the same image rotation order but replace any images you hit "change" for and picked a valid image path.
*wheh* I've been meaning to do this for a long while, sorry it took a millennium...

Thanks for the update the ability to choose a backglass image was a great feature. Farsight should be giving you a free table or something for this.

Added Bram Stoker's Dracula
In the Images Panel, it will appear at the end of the tables list but the image should appear correctly in the backglass rotation order (assuming TPA goes by "B"ram not "D"racula in which case I'll move it). I just wanted to get ahead of this one in case I didn't hack in the new table properly.

Sorry to hear that. Better to hear this today than, this weekend after I purchased a new season pack. Sounds like a good stopping point for me until they get this sorted out. I can always purchase future seasons if/when this becomes a higher priority.

It's not just that. I saw a FB post that said Bobby was on the Twitch feed tonight (I missed it) and said there may be some legal issues with cab support. No one has expanded on that. I just assume legal means lawyers....and well lawyers can screw up a wet dream. Usually for everyone else...not themselves.
edit: I probably shouldn't take any posts on Farsights FB page as legit information though, so who knows.

I did catch the feed...he did say "in arcades" which quickly took my mind to "per-use rights" and who get's a cut if it makes millions for the operators.
The tone in his voice told me it wasn't his ?favorite question?/?top priority? and that's what I got the most out of... for myself, be prepared for many more months of working on this teeny little app.
