I uncorked that bottle and gently nudged that Genie into giving me my wish. 4.2 Million and wizard goals on this pin now completed.....Thank you Genie

So 3 balls is definitely the way to go, eh? So far my best score is with 5, but probably because I've played more games with 5.

To me it seems like I average about the same number of points per ball with either setting, so I feel like I might as well squeeze in as many balls as possible. I think it'd be a bit different if the top bumpers weren't so lazy since they score way more on 3 ball mode, but this was one of the tables released during Farsight's experiment with less active bumpers and unfortunately one of the few that was never updated in that regard.

That's interesting about the bumpers. Any more 'umpf', and I'm pretty sure you could complete the rollovers just from the first plunge. This is something I've been trying to perfect actually. Get it through D first. Plunge again if possible. Full plunge, and nudge left at the right moment to get it to A. But like I've said before, I don't always follow my own advice lol. Playing with 3 balls is the ONLY way to go though. I might be wrong about some things. But this is the only way to go. Just look at how much more the bonus will give you when it's maxed out

I suggest 3 ball mode.I consistently had scores over 2 Million using 3 balls, while using 5 i rarely get 2 million. Shoot the top playfield, get those extra balls, shoot for the lit spinner to up the bonus, collect bonus when lit.Hit only safe shots to the bonus targets when lit,I try to do this with light hits from bottom right flipper.

Going through A without nudging is a death trap!!!

I tracked my scores on a spreadsheet with 5-ball and 3-ball, and on average my scores were nearly doubled playing 3-ball. My high score with 5-ball is just over 3 million, and I scored over 6 million this week playing 3-ball.

Definitely 3-ball. All my highs on Genie have come that way. I was really annoyed when playing one of the Challenges that included Genie but couldn't be set to 3 ball play.

It's not entirely the bumpers that give the extra score in 3-ball. It's also the rollovers on the way into the upper playfield. That should be the most common thing you're shooting for anyway. Going 3-ball can turn an upper playfield trip from 20k into 60k points, which makes a huge difference. The bumpers help too but are only part of the picture.

I shot 2,839.xxx again, 180 points better than my last game, but this time I'm drunk. That's got to count for something :)

I would go 3 ball. Personally I tend to have at least one or two balls per game go down a drain without a chance to nudge or flip it into the playfield. So might as well play 3 balls that hopefully are all usable and give you more points.

I'm gonna try 3 ball too. I'm not holding out too much hope, but we'll see.

Anyone else anxious to see what table my randomizer picks for next week? I'll have it listed late Saturday night my time (Pacific Standard) in a new thread. That is when this one will be closed, too. So get your last games in!

I've tried both, but to no avail. With ST coming tonight, I may be stuffing the Genie back in her bottle a little early so I can join up and go nuke some bugs.

Let's all try to predict it, shall we! My prediction: Whirlwind.

Hello all, this is my first post. I have looked at this forum a lot for information but decided to become a member to be in at the start of this Table of the Week Club.
I think it's a great idea. I play on my PS3 and love the tournaments when they happen once a month. They really focus you on tables you haven't played much and the element of competition really gets you to play and play again. This is a similar thing , love the random choice of what might be next.
My best score on Genie is 610,480 and that was before this week but now I've taken the tips on using 3 balls and keeping the close camera I'd hope to beat that soon.
By the way shutyertrap I've put in a friend request to you on PS3 but if you don't use that anymore no worries.

Welcome!

First of all....Way to go on the scoring. I can't break 700,000 no matter how many balls I have and even if I get 300,000 and some EB's. Second: You did a spread sheet??! Either your an accountant or incredibly organized ;) that's awesome. Never thought to keep track of my scores like that.

How can we earn extra credit? ;)
