Table Pack #30 Speculation

Did you forget? With the exception of PC, they no longer offer season passes before the full season has been released. It doesn't matter what table they start with in order to sell the season.

There was a comment on the Twitch feed about the season pass. I didn't write down the quote but essentially they were rethinking offering the season pass at launch based on the negative feedback they got not having it. So its quite possible there will be a S4 pass offered at the start on other platforms - with the exception of iOS, that being out of their hands.

Even if its just on PC they need a pretty beefy table at launch. Last season they launched with Fish Tales and also announced a few other coveted tables that would appear during the season. They'll want another big announcement for their S4 launch to get people anticipating what's to come. Launching with something like Bone Busters and naming a few other highly anticipated tables to appear later in the season would be pretty disappointing. And I think The Gateway would make for a better table to use as a reveal of what's to come rather than a launch table.

So I'm still thinking they need something big and beefy to launch S4 with and Road Show fits the bill.

Because if you look at the two previous seasons, they've released out two horror themed tables in each one. One in September and one in October.

Season 1: Elvira and The Party Monster (September) and Scared Stiff (October)
Season 2: Haunted House (September) and Class of 1812 (October)

Bingo.

Hey, don't take my word for how they do things. I've only been saying it was BSD since before LCA came out. lol

They previously said they were going to do something special for Halloween so let's remove Bone Busters from the discussion LOL. I wouldn't be surprised if they get Addams Family done by Halloween though, as I think they did T2 in record time and some of the leg work may already be done (ie: the playfield design within the pinball design is maybe already completed, some of the 3D toys may have been rendered). not really a guess, just saying its not impossible.

We're not getting TAF by Halloween. As I said before, they already said it won't be ready in time.

Again, I'm guessing "Bone Busters, Inc." or "Phantom of the Opera".

It's pretty cut and dry this time, clue was pretty good too:

"Coolest Dr." = Dr. Abraham Van Helsing referred sometimes as a Dr, Alchemist and Physicist. In BSD movie is mentioned as a "Metaphysician". So, "physician with a mission" = Kill Dracula.

"Dr. .. and his band" = Van Helsing, Jack, Quincy & Arthur

For me at least it's pretty much closed.. it's BSD

They said that they would do something special last Halloween and it ended up being Class of 1812, which was really disappointing because most people were thinking Tales from the Crypt.

I am willing to be that table #31 will be horror themed. Probably Phantom or Boner Busters.

They should have saved Dracula for pack 31 if it were the only Halloween table. And if it were Addams Family, they would have had to start the kickstarter by last Friday. If they started the kickstarter tomorrow (and they won't) then it would still be going on when they unveiled the hint for pack 31. Well, unless they delay Dracula until the last week of September.

For the millionth time, we're not getting TAF for #31, as Farsight has already said as much, and there's no way there would be enough time to start the KS, fully fund it, make the table, and then release it. There's just not enough time, and I wish people would stop living in that fantasy world where they think it's gonna happen...you're only going to be disappointed.

As for making "Genesis" over "Bone Busters, Inc.", that's another dream. I've rarely seen requests for "Genesis", and it wouldn't make any sense if we stick with Farsight's 2 Halloween table trend.

Now, getting "Freddy" for next Halloween would be a dream come true. I'm a huge Freddy fan, and it's one of the few Gottlieb tables I actually enjoy. Plus, I don't think it would need to go to PAD, as it's actually not that gory. I know it's a Gottlieb, but that table would easily sell itself, just based on the license.

There's quite a few Halloween tables to use from that are possible, and to be honest, I thought ending out Season 3 with BSD was just beyond amazing. This has been my favorite season, hands down.

I actually like and enjoy just about every Halloween themed table, and most people enjoy Halloween as it is...so, it makes sense.

Halloween is nearly non existant here in Australia but looking forward to play BSD on PC and on my IPAD in September.
Feel sorry for all you console users who will most likely be waiting months for it knowing how Farsight operate

DR, im not sure why you think TAF cant be released in Oct. FS has the pin and has probally started work on digitizing it already assuming the kser will be funded like T2. Also im not sure why you believe anything they say with a timeline involved.

I can see TAF released within two weeks of funding. Id also say kser will start by week of labor day which means around october 10th kser would be closed and TAF out by Oct. 31.

I also think genesis would sell better then bone busters but assuming bsd out in sept and taf out in oct we wouldnt worry about that till next year.

Agreed. It still doesn't beat Season 1, but is easily better that Season 2.

Season 1 had the best tables, but suffered from lousy (by today's standards) physics and inauthentic play (the notorious easying to make more accessible). That automatically makes it the worst season.

I'm use to it by now, it is what it is. I learned a while back that complaining about it was pointless. Now, I just wait for that PinballWiz guy to upload gameplay videos to his YouTube page.

Because people enjoy giving me headaches.

Season 1 could never be equalled for table selection, even if you delete the reissues. However the season 3 tables are unparalleled in quality of presentation and art. I only have a few issues with the recreations and they are quite minor. No major bugs happened with any of the tables whereas many game breaking glitches occurred in prior seasons, some of which have still not been fully corrected. I almost wish they could just say "let's redo some of these tables from earlier seasons from the ground up using the better tech and know-how we currently have."

Yeah, with "Black Knight" being the table they need to re-do the most. I actually prefer to play the PHOF version, as it's a million times better AND easier.
