Okay, now that Diner is officially #29, and all the suggestions for #30 - it's time to turn our attention to #31.

Which just happens to be the start of Season 4,as well as the October/Halloween table.

My thinking is...

I'm still going to stick with my original thought. If TAF isn't ready to go - you still need a strong pin to kick off the season. Which makes it cooler being that it's spooky time aka the Halloween table.

Over the past two years we've gotten two "spooky" themed tables in the months of September & October - with October being the higher profile release.

In 2012:

  • Elvira & the Party Monsters
  • Scared Stiff

In 2013:

  • Class of 1812
  • Haunted House

So my guess is that Bram Stoker's Dracula is the "Halloween" table. It's arguably the biggest horror table they could do - as well as being heavily requested. Not to mention hint drops on the TPA FB page.

Your thoughts?

I would like to see BSD, but I think it's way to early in TPA life to release it. Maybe it will appear next October. But my eye is on Phantom of the Opera as this Octobers Halloween themed pin.

Yes, my guess is (based on how they have handled Halloween the last 2 years) is

September - Phantom of the Opera
October - Bram Stoker's Dracula

But then again, if you follow Farsight's Halloween pattern, there should be a Caddyshack knock-off as well :p

Still thinking bsd is a solid pick for dlc 30 but if that fails to occur I would guess it would be solid for 31. The timing is odd because it leans towards a horror themed table. Otherwise I would think red and ted or maybe safecracker to kick things off. So maybe Tftc could be a great way to kick off the season and introduce data east.

Freddy would need to be Kickstarted unfortunatly, Phantom of the opera is Data East, Bram Stoker's Dracula maybe but I still think it needs a Kickstarter to. Gary Oldman does do the voice in the Pinball Machine different from the movie, so I have to say I'm stumped on this one. I'll have to go to the IPDB and figure it out.

I looked at all the machines and they all seem to have licenses attached to them, so maybe Farsight did pay for Bram Stoker's Dracula for next month. Then a Data East table, which I'm thinking Phantom of the opera or Tales from the Crypt might actually kick off season 4. I sure hope you are all right, I would love Dracula and Crypt to be the horror games.

Switch those two around, and that's my guess for #30 and #31.

I can't imagine them starting a season with phantom of the opera. Based on the way season 2 ended with a buch of gottliebs, none of whichever were dmd, I am thinking that they will start the season 4 with the strongest table availabe. Regardless of theme, bsd is more requested, higher rated than just about any other table out there. Phantom is a fun, solid table but it also is lacking dmd and other bells and whistles present with bsd.

As long as BSD is coming asap it is all good!

TFTC and Phantom would both be awesome of course but both are Data East. And as long as there hasn't been a proper Data East table released i don't think it makes much sense to speculate on one.Data East is just not part of the TPA equation.....yet?

Well,Tee'd Off & CBW were DMD's. But I get what you are saying...

Anyways,if we were getting two tables a month still - then I could see more logic with Dokken's theory. But with the one table a month normal - you've got to be strong to start off your season. That's why you got FT for S3.

I could see POTO(less likely) or TTFC (more likely) as one of the "spooky" tables coming out this year. But if we are getting BSD - I'd reason that most of the fans here would agree that is the best & highest rated "spooky" table we could get. So that should fall into the #31 slot. But - there is one table that is rated higher than BSD that would make sense as #31 - and that is The Addams Family.

Even though it has been said that they aren't planning it for October (and they really can't - they don't have the license yet)
it would make sense on so many levels.Well,to me it does anyways.

I still think we get two spooky "tables" for Sept. & October if FS holds true to form. But FS can easily mix things up also - and I still remember the JY twitch cast a couple of months ago when (pretty sure it was Badger) was asked about his favorite table in S3. He said that it was something that hadn't been released or talked about yet.

At that point we still didn't have:

  • Lights,Camera,Action
  • Diner
  • High Roller Casino

You can rule out Diner because we all knew that was coming. HRC is good - better than I thought it would be - but I'd still rate it lower than about half of S3. And,honestly - does anyone here really think he could have been talking about LCA?

That leaves #30 as his pick. Whatever table that ends up being - it's going to be a good one. We should have a better idea in about two weeks. That pin should help make guessing #31 that much easier...

So that most likely means BSD or Road Show for #30 and then a horror-themed Data East table (presumably Phantom of the Opera) for #31

Didn't Farsight confirmed that Road Show would require a kickstarter because Carlene Carter's voice and song ("Every Little Thing")?

No. It's been speculated that they might need one. Honestly - and this is no slight to her - she's not exactly a top-tier country star ala Garth Brooks,Vince Gill, or Faith Hill,to name a few. So IMHO it shouldn't take too much to get it done. They have done some licensed stuff without a KS (the Elvira pins).

Again though - just pure speculation on my part...
