We can make it if the 15 remaining 400 slots get filled, plus some extra pledges here and there.

14 left now. I think once there's about 10 left they'll go quickly because people won't want to miss the opportunity. I know that once it got down to about 20 left I made my pledge because I didn't want to lose the chance of getting one before they were all scooped up.

The support Farsight have been given with this T2 Kickstarter is truly amazing, I take my hat off to all those who have helped, but, I have noticed a lot of people often complain that Farsight don't fix bugs and such in TPA especially on the PS3 etc.

Surely Farsight owe it to all these people helping them with this Kickstarter to start making more effort in improving the tables that have already been released, THOUGHTS?

I agree. For me it was the reverse, the Day they announced it I got worried it would run out quick and snagged it when there was only one spot taken.

PS3 is a special case where they literally aren't allowed to update DLC tables with the regulations sony have in place. Ps4 will be a different story though, it's much more friendly to developers.

Are you serious? "not allowed" why on earth is that? surely Sony would only be to happy if it's improving/fixing a game on their console?

Sorry! if this has been discussed before, but why would Sony want to stop them? makes no sense at all.

I thought I read somewhere it had to do with DLC patches vs full game patches. Not sure though maybe someone knows the specifics.

I jumped in with a $400 pledge as soon as the tier was announced but reduced it at the weekend (yes that blip was me sorry) as I have a few reservations/uncertainties about the beta testing. I may still up my pledge again but wondered if anyone with experience in this area may be able to answer a few questions. I realise (now, although didn't initially) that beta testing on consoles is not possible so would be looking at the ipad iOS version :-

1. Is the beta version a completely separate app or does the latest beta version 'overwrite' the previous full install of TPA?
2. Is the latest beta version downloaded using the App Store or would I need to sync with a computer? (I don't have easy access to a pc at home so my ipad hasn't been synced since I bought it)
3. If I missed a beta testing cycle (e.g. If I was on holiday) would I risk losing my position as a beta tester?
4. How are bugs and other feedback reported to FS? Would it be by email or via this or another forum?
5. Are beta testers just asked to play the game normally or are you expected to try specific targets to look for bugs e.g. repeatedly targeting certain ramps or features within a new table?

Thanks in advance.

I can tell you about things from the Android Beta cycle and what I know about the iOS one, others will jump in with more infos:
The Beta will overwrite the existing APP, but it isn't done through the app store. IDK how iOS does their distribution method as it is a closed public beta. sorry.
If you can't test during one cycle, then you can't test that time. It's not that closed, you don't lose your slot.
Beta testers all test differently. Some just play, some will go for the repeated shots to look for bugs specifically; it's up to you. The important thing is to make sure you can replicate your issue and that it can be explained in your reporting.

While I am one of the iOS beta testers, I'm going to let FarSight answer this one, as I am not sure if their beta procedures will change with all the new testers coming on board. But currently:

1. The beta overwrites the release version.
2. There is a separate app that manages the betas, called TestFlight. It's very easy to use. I've never needed to sync for a beta.
3. No. If you were gone for months on end, they'd probably replace you, but one month is not going to do it.
4. There is a private beta forum here for testers and FarSight to discuss the betas.
5. Both. FarSight includes things they want tested in the notes with each build, but you're free (and encouraged) to try to break and report other things as well.
