For those who may be new to this thread, the subject of the troll attempting to disrupt the TAF kickstarter is forbidden in the forums until at least after the kickstarter is finished.

He wants attention...we shouldn't be giving him any here.

You are absolutely correct, I was just thinking the same thing. I've been guilty of the above infraction and I apologize.

BTTF is good enough for a standard release, but definitely not worth doing a KS for unless it can be had for under $25K (and with Lloyd acting like a b****, and three tunes to license, I doubt that happens). It's a pre-DMD, not great table that they had at the expo, and there was never a line - in fact few played it (I gave it one shot and moved on) because it wasn't very good compared to other tables.

Who knows? Maybe ZZ Top and Huey Lewis like pinball and may cut a break :)

(And speaking of ZZ Top...)

Yup. Very mediocre. Would be nice to have but not if it means sacrificing any better table out there (which there are scores of). I think the best upside is it gives an appealing license to get more people interested in the pinball arcade which means more monetary support to continue!

Back TO the Left Ramp is exceedingly mediocre, and badly in need of a rules change.

Unlimited Millions is way to easy to start, and way too easy to take advantage of once it IS started.

I would have changed it so gaining letters for the delorean millions was from the clock tower, and shooting the right ramp followed by the left one relit the clock tower. would have made the game a lot harder.

From what I have read it seems like back to the future is the table. Not that it is as popular as many others out there but it seems like there is a correlation with chris Lloyd. They were clear in stating they were going after his likeness and it seems like of they can secure that possibility, only the. Would it open up the mystery stretch goal.

The problem is, echoing what most people have said, BTTF isn't that requested. Most people think it is mediocre. It only gained some support due to the Christopher Lloyd connection, but that's all hearsay so far. TSPP has been requested for years.

TSPP even rivals LOTR for being deep, some say surpassing even. I haven't played that much TSPP, predominantly a VP version. I would love both to be in TPA, but that at least would require Kickstarters in both cases, and for LOTR the license situation would probably be such a major headache that TPA surely won't bother to try it. But one can have a dream, can't we not? :)

I have both TSPP and LOTR. Must say I enjoy lotr much more. TSPP is fun but the hurry up shot music really goes on my nerves. It kills all other music no matter what mode you are inn and it becomes damn annoying after a while. Still a fantastic pin and the most likely next kickstarter, by far.

BTTF might function as a stretch goal if they are able to get a discount from Loyd and Sony but never a stand-alone kickstarter.

Btw: LOTR, TSPP, WPT and WOZ are without a doubt the four deepest pins ever created, when it comes to rules . (might have to include The Hobbit in there soon) Keith P. Johnson did the rules for them all.

With an honorable mention for AC/DC. While its ruleset is not as deep, it has the most complicated rules for determining what a particular shot is worth that I've ever seen or heard tell of. As far as I know - I haven't looked lately - the rulesheet I keep here in our real pinball forum is the only one on the Internet that has it anywhere close to completely figured out.

(Which reminds me, I need to update it for v1.68...so much pinball, so little time...)

Over on the Facebook page, I see someone asked the question "yes" or "no" in reference to BTTF. Farsight replied with "we don't know yet." Seems like a possible indicator that's the stretch goal they are trying to get, just like all of have speculated.

Ha! Yes, 72 hours. Had to think about it... Today is "Friday" for me since I am off work tomorrow (to go play real pinball! yay!). So I am already thinking Sunday is in 2 days' time.
