today I won`t talk of my love of sport . condolences to all the people in the school shooting today . Scotland had Dunblane , we had Point Arthur , our gun laws were changed straight away . USA wake up .you have had 12 school shootings so far this year . my biggest love is children , it just breaks my heart .

I agree woflson. It's times like this that it's embarrassing to be an American. Seems like I've been saying that a lot lately....the news in general has just been too depressing for me to watch.

I've found myself becoming more and more of a hermit mainly because I've lost just about all of my faith in humanity. You guys are honestly one of the few bright spots left.

don`t be embarrassed Jeff , we all know it`s not the US peoples fault .there is only one group to blame , the shameless greedy money taking polis . I would love to see in your mid terms , for people to vote for polis who don`t take money from lobbyists . I made a mistake 18 school shootings not 12 so far this year .

I forgot to ask yesterday a silly little question . in all of these school shootings of young children , I ask were are your Unions ? F... if had school shootings like in the USA our unions would be on the front line with bans on movement of any weapons around Australia and our pollies would be right behind them !!!!

The problem is as soon as anyone starts talking about a solution, half the population has been trained to immediately think they're trying to take away every single gun (which obviously is never the case, but it gets everyone fired up to believe that) and therefore even small changes don't happen...no progress is made and round and round we go. The NRA propaganda is very effective. I guess this is the price we have to pay for such foolishness. I think it's safe to say it's not worth the cost of innocent lives, but I can't see an end in sight :(

I agree with the govenor of kentucky its these VIDEOGAMES theyare just like PORNO , little nerds with blue balls! Handguns are illegal outside law enforcement here as are semi auto matics, tho im pretty handy with a rifle. Outside of hunting and farming and such things, little betty boop doesnt need an ar15 anymore than she needs a machette at walmart.

Jeff totally nailed it in my opinion. That’s how I see it as well.

On an unrelated note: Watching Independence Day Resurgence. Not loving this. I think I might root for the aliens.

Ban one kind of gun or ban them all. It didn’t work in the 1920’s with alcohol. The war on illegal drugs is not working. We need to find an answer our children are dying and it breaks my heart that nobody is even trying to find a solution.

thanks fellas , Jeff now I can understand it much better . I find it hard when NRA gives Trumpy $21 million Rubio $3.3 million and a pile of other pollies from both sides so much money . it`s illegal here . here`s 3 simple things which I think most people would agree to . background check , 3weeks before you can get a licence and you must have training and total ban on military weapons that just for mass killings . sorry I can`t count , that`s 4 . looking from the outside I`m in total shock .

Thr danger is such things have the potential to become normalized when a child hears such a story and doesnt blink an eye then we have let them down.

considering the already-too-early backlash/reactionary response to the kids' nationwide school-strike against the NRA here... i fear the very -idea- is "crush your children's dreams of being the change their school history classes promise them they can be." (even -more- so than our own schooling...)

wolfsy, bringing up even anything about "unions" in this country nowadays... lol, is such folly. you've much unfortunate history to catch up with about us... leave it at, the conservative republican types have done their best to squash out organized labor in this country... those trying to also squash out the liberal democrat types (who also happen to be conservative republicans, or at the very least, serving their interests) paint the opposition as "too weak" in defending unionized labor. cuz, see, it's an 'image game'... and don't let anyone fool you about it.

or as i have liked to say for a long time now... for them to -FOOL- you... means -YOU- have -LET- them fool you.

p.s. i feel almost embarrassed to say... for once... ;0 heretic, i'd hug ya for having said that. ;) see? when ya say something truly from the heart, some of us can actually see it. ;) (don't look so shy! ;0 awww, huggs!! ;)

I forgot , our Liberal and National parties are like your republican party , dipsticks only think of there rich mates . they have had 2 Royal Commissions into the Unions . all they did was waste the Tax Payers money . we are lucky here ,we might put one party into power but us layback bludgers always vote in a mixture of parties for the Senate so who ever is in power just can`t push through any rubbish they want . they have to negotiate!!!

Most unions have very limited power here. Some more than others. My union spends most of the time just trying not to lose any jobs. They do little to nothing about making our jobs better in any way. We are happy just not to lose more ground.
