dx 11 works like a charme, with my GTX 980, and the new Physics in Xenon are awesome!
I hope the New Physics comes to all other Tables!

I posted this way back but for anyone who missed it here is a mini documentary showing Suzanne Ciani creating the sounds for this classic table:

Ok, I fixed my Full Screen problem.
First I tried all different display settings in CCC without success.
My HD7950 graphics card has two DVI outputs. DVI-I and DVI-D.
At first I was using DVI-I. Then I switched to DVI-D.
In CCC I have to enable GPU up-scaling.

CCC -> My Digital Flat-Panels -> Properties (Digital Flat-Panel) -> Enable GPU up-scaling

Problem solved.

I am gonna say this in as many threads as possible :)

Way to go, Mike. Fantastic physics. This is fantastic. Can't wait to try them out with real flipper buttons on the cab ;)

I really hope this will not be too much work to get implemented on older tables.

PS! I thought that bobby was responsible for all physics tweeks? but to whomever is responsible.....Grrrreat work. Xenon feels so good ;)

i get the same thing in .11, its like watching a dvd with huge black bars on top and bottom. ifI just use window mode,it is fine. its an annoyance.

I had this happen once I think after I forgot to switch my screen to portrait before running TPA with the new Fullscreen setting - the width and height got swapped around . Have you tried re-running the config to check the DX11 settings, and make sure you have it set 1080 x 1920 rather than 1920 x 1080 (or whatever your resolution is)?

Is the standard goal "Advance Bonus to 20.000 points" broken? I reached it several times, even to 40k, but it hasn't registered yet.

It is, and FarSight needs to put this on their "to do list" Tuesday morning.

If they wonder why no one has reached the wizard goals yet, this is why.

My native resolution is 2560x1440 and full screen was 1920x1080, but I somehow fixed it.

I set the DX11 version to window mode again, started TPA, maximized the window, closed TPA, started config again to set DX11 to fullscreen and the next time I started TPA it was in 2560x1440 fullscreen mode. Back buffers were always set to 2560 and 1440, of course.

I am also running 2560x1440. In the configuration utility before you launch the game from Steam there is also a DX11 tab. I made sure it was set to full screen in that section and then ran the DX11 option from the menu and I haven't had an issue. The game looks fantastic in higher resolutions.

To start, I play TPA on two machines, one is a workstation I do visual effects work on and the other is a HTPC. The HTPC is an i7 3770K with 8GB of RAM and a 1GB Radeon HD 6950. The workstation is an i7 4930K with 32GB of RAM and a 3GB Radeon HD 7950.

Earlier in the beta both of these machines had no issue in playing TPA and the game looked lovely. Since about two weeks ago some serious framerate issues arose and they continue. I mostly use Circus Voltaire to test since it has that giant fluorescent tube of point lights to stress the game. On the HD 6950 system the CV just seems to run at 40fps and it's just locked in slow motion. On the HD 7950 it runs mostly okay but when the tube lights up it suddenly halts to about 15fps for the duration that it's illuminated. I wonder if you're having optimization issues since most of your development hardware seems to be Nvidia. However, this is not 'weak' hardware I'm using so I'd like to know if there's any other information I can offer to help improve performance and return it to what was seen earlier in the beta.

Secondly, and this is a small but annoying thing, the DX11 executable doesn't auto-hide the mouse cursor on startup like the DX9 does and having mouse stuck in the middle of the screen till I find the wireless keyboard to swipe it away REALLY breaks the Big Picture Mode experience.

Tested ver. 1.38 (dx11)!

Still getting the zoomed in/cropped out flippers due to my resolution being a 4:5 portrait ratio(worked perfect in DX9).

Also the mouse cursor is still not hiding, as others have mentioned.

Version 1.38.10 Bugs:

Xenon:
  • Xenon Bonus Completion sound is longer than normal.

DX11/Other Bugs:

  • Muffled music/sounds on Bride of Pin*Bot, Central Park, Cirqus Voltaire, FunHouse, Genie, No Good Gofers, Ripley's, Scared Stiff, Theatre of Magic, TotAN.
  • Lights Camera Action: Missing floodlights.
  • Attack From Mars: Side GI (texture swap) has been carried over from DX9.
  • Attack From Mars: Find a way to strengthen the Strobe light?
  • Haunted House: An upper playfield plastic is lit when the ball is in the lower playfield. Should be the other way around.
  • Haunted House: Bumpers need GI.
  • High Speed: Missing 1K spinner sound. Sound is present in DX9, though.
  • Creature: Overall lighting needs brightened.
  • Creature: As the ball travels along the right ramp, it touches the gate of the left ramp.
  • Centaur: Backglass isn't lit.
  • Earthshaker: GI activity may need tuning (light brightness is fine; just on features like Match Up) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3DLZKWmqGI
  • Earthshaker: Plunger may be too powerful, hitting 100k on max plunge. I noticed the ball rattle a bit on the spiral on max plunge. A tad less works fine for going on the Overpass.
  • Fish Tales: Captive ball lights are too dim.
  • Black Knight 2000: Only half of the backbox is lit.
  • Black Knight 2000: RANSOM letters are dim.
  • Taxi: As the ball travels along the right habitrail, the leftmost Lola drop target can sometimes be dropped in the process.
  • Taxi: Light sequences and alphanumeric animations seem off-sync with the music. Compare the Million and the Jackpot sequences with their real-life counterparts.
  • White Water: Occasional ball hops at Bigfoot Bluff's diverter. http://youtu.be/9uFpTJeTld4
  • Champion Pub: Start Fight light sequence missing on both health bars: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzFvBmwIx5g
  • Whirlwind: Light effects around the flashers remain on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wajnSB882p4
  • Whirlwind: Plunging and making the 3-Toll ramp, a bit less than full power. That ramp needs to feel more steep.
  • Whirlwind: Set of Super Door Values lights to be like Earthshaker and Cyclone?
  • Whirlwind: Enter Initials music doesn't loop.
  • Twilight Zone: Wronged Multiball startup light sequence alongside claiming a Jackpot, both being off sync when compared to the actual machine (DX9 has this problem as well). I think it's a problem with emulation in general, since this issue is on Visual Pinball as well.
  • Twilight Zone: Brighter flashers, similar to that of Addams Family?
  • Twilight Zone: Lost In the Zone music starts playing right after claiming the award, during "You have come to the end of your journey." No music should be playing from there until "Survival is everything" and further on.
  • Twilight Zone has a sound missing during the opening Mutliball sequence: (It may have been interrupted by another sound...) http://youtu.be/K5DY_Mr2n3U?t=5m49s
  • Twilight Zone: Metal ramp in the Lock is missing. http://youtu.be/00LzUVAzJ8o?t=1m3s
  • Twilight Zone: Camera wall is missing. http://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=2684&picno=37888&zoom=1
  • Party Zone: There should be two separate types of solid GI color: Red and White. There are flashers in there as well that separate from the GI overall (which are already in there). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEMlB5xj2MM
  • Addams Family: Bonus count is a bit off-sync. Sounds are supposed to align with the "animations" on the DMD. Refer to videos on the internet.
  • Addams Family: Cousin It's bonus tune now is lower-pitched, and Mamushka's bonus tune is higher-pitched.
  • Phantom of the Opera: Right habitrail interferes with the metal piece around the spinner. http://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=1777&picno=9468
  • Starship Troopers: Bug counters need to be brightened. They are lights, after all...
  • Starship Troopers: Main music is getting cut off early. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QoDUY4AIED4
  • Star Trek TNG: Delta ramp gate isn't aligned to the metal piece below the Lock/Super bulbs. http://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=2357&picno=13798
  • Pin*Bot: Red topper is missing. http://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=1796&picno=21840&zoom=1
  • Firepower: Skewed cabinet art. http://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=856&picno=44750&zoom=1
  • Black Hole: Tube at the Re-Entry is really faded.
  • Class of 1812: The teeth and heart are supposed to be in the rhythm of the music during Multiball.
  • Black Knight: Locks need more tuning. Just had a second ball locked where it's supposed to exit.
  • Black Knight: Sometimes the first lock doesn't register. A nudge can solve this problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBdo_V0AAb8
  • Black Knight: Depending on how balls are positioned, a third lock up top can be denied.
  • Ripley's: Game-ending bug when "Believe It Or Not" quote plays during the End of Ball Bonus.
  • Shutyertrap's and other users' mentions listed.

See you touched up the backglass some. New reflections and a nice rump... nothing wrong with getting some good buttocks :D

Just played two quick games so I wont theorize about the flipper physics.

Keep it up!
