The weight loss:
So, after being over weight for quite a number of years I decided in may that it was time to actually do something about it. I joined a Swedish weight loss and excercise establishment called Itrim which focuses on fast weight loss in the beginning and then changing your behaviour to make this loss permanent.
I was a bit sceptical to begin with, but a friend of mine who joined them lost 25kg (55 Pounds) )in 8 weeks so at least I had some evidence that this could work. So I signed up and for the last 11 weeks have been eating nothing but meal replacements, drinking only water, carbonated water and coffe. The challenge is purely a mental one, eating 4 meals a day at a total of 800 calories while other people drink beer and eat burgers all over the place is hard, but I can be very stubborn and determined if I put my mind to it.
When I started my weight was 101,4 kg (222,5 pounds) and yesterday, 11 weeks later, I weighed in at 80,1kg (176,5 pounds). My waist has gone down 17 cm (6,69 inches). The change is unbelivable and I have a hard time wrapping my head around me losing 1/5 of my weight hehe. But it feels great and tomorrow I will eat my first real meal (boiled vegetables and cod, so the stomach) and I am super excited.
The Pinball gain:
Part of the program is to decide a reward that you will give yourself for finishing the 10-12 weeks of weight loss. I decided that I would get a pinball table if (when) I finished.
So yesterday I called the local Pinball rental and repair shop and said, yes I want to buy that Jack*Bot table!
I did try it on location here in Stockholm and it was in really nice shape, he asked me "did you like it?" I said "yeah it was really good" and his response was, "I renovated the **** out of that table, it is like new".
They will be bringing the table back to the shop today (doing some maintenance on it) and then I'll get a call so I can come over there and check it out again.
I am dancing a bit on fluffy clouds at the moment, my own pinball machine!
Will post images and stuff when I get the table at home.
This is Magnus, signing off (for now).
