What Licenses Would You Most Like to See Made into a Pinball Table?

How about a Team America table. Could you imagine having mechanical animated puppets that talk and reenact scenes from the movie? Also have the team america theme song play when you plunge the ball into the game, and a Mt. Rushmore that opens to let the balls roll through.

We had a South Park table in the 90's, so why not a modern day game with modern rules and toys based on another Matt Stone's and Trey Parker 's ip?

Honestly it surprises me that Pinball never took off in Japan and is always have loved to see a Japanese game made into a pinball.

My pick is a REAL Alien or Devils Crush/Crash. The music in Devils Crash will remind you immediately of top tier System 11 Esque synth. The American version for Genesis is called Dragons Fury btw. I could see a special "long body" pin made for this game. The transforming head in the middle could be done ala Bride of Pinbot and the skull and dragon turned into toys. The upper pentagram could be a big spinner with magnets like on X-Men. I'm making this myself as a project later in life when I have the money and time to do so!

My friend suggest a NiGHTS into Dreams table and I agree the colors and music would make for an amazing pin. It is a pinball, too, in the casino level of Sonic Adventure.

I would love to see a Big Lebowski machine. Would be a great one to put in a bowling alley.

This one is happening!

Another theme I think would be fun would be a skateboarding theme, like street or skatepark, x-games or street League type.

If nobody does one I might re-do an existing pin into a skateboarding one myself one day. I know there's Radical! (my avatar) but what I think would be fun is to play is a pin that looks like a skatepark or like streets with stuff to skate. You could have the table filled with skateramps, stairs, magnetic handrails to grind, pools, ledges, gaps and tons of other fun stuff. Missions could be to skate a competition run for 45 seconds, jump a certain gap, ride the handrail, maybe highest air and some sensor that measures how high up the ball flies out of a ramp (with some sort of glass protection obviously) and so on. I think a table like this would sell pretty good also, there's a lot of people who play pinball that used to skate or still skate that have the money and I'm sure a lot of other people would find it fun to play skater or non-skater. Wouldn't you?

There is a proper digital NiGHTS pin on Sonic Pinball Party on GBA. It's pretty decent, too!

Think they have enough of it from its cousin the Pachinko machines. >.>

Closest thing to the real tables is No Fear (fun table too), and one of Pinball FX2 tables called Extreme or something of the sort.

Don't forget Bally's Radical. Was one of the machines released just before DMD became commonplace. I didn't know it existed until I saw a TNT video about it a few weeks ago. Pretty odd playfield design.

none actually. Licence means nothing but some restrictions what can or can't be in that game. I'll try any table I can get my hands on but it all comes down to do if I like it or not. I do like Iron Man but table sucks. On the other hand, I don't like AC/DC but that table is OK. There are good licenced tables, but they are not good just because they are licenced.

I think licensing can be good in some cases. It definitely can inspire new ideas and creativity and many innovations were born of licensed tables. There are bad aspects such as restrictions and licensee demands but it can go both ways.

sure it can but what I'm saying is that just because table caries a name of XY doesn't make it good and it won't make me hooked just because the theme is something that I actually like. Wishing for something just because of the name is.......... like meeting a first girlfriend after 20 years, expectations are huge but usually the event somehow doesn't come close to that.

From the above list, Led Zeppelin might be good if the creators would steal all the best ideas and tricks from existing games and put them in one like LZ did with their music.

Yeah, I don't disagree with you. I would prefer unlicensed tables and original themes whenever possible. Plus licenses can be polarizing. I personally dislike family guy and the table is great but I had a hard time bringing myself to even play it. I am glad I set my prejudice aside though. I know Metallica and AC/dc have had the same effect on lots of people too.

Oh great, we got one of the guys who believes that ridiculous rumor. How did LZ rip off anyone? They inspired an entire new genre. They were musical legends. Everyone borrows from one another, it's called inspiration. Can you name any artists LZ ripped off? See, this is what happens: the claim is made Zeppelin did that, yet no examples are given. That's really funny. It's called someone was jealous of their stardom, and crafted this absurd rumor. Just like people claim the Beatles are overrated. It's called jealousy. Are you suggesting that LZ didn't write their own music? Lyrically, they did not contribute themselves? Every single song they wrote is plagiarism? They were not good musicians? I mean, that's BS.

Let me amend my prior post. I don't disagree about non-licenses being preferable to licensed in general. However I kind of skimmed the end of the post and I do firmly disagree about led zeppelin. They were one of the best and nobody has even come close to matching their mystique.

I was thinking, with the Lego Movie out, a Lego table would be a great family friendly table! And being Lego-based, all they need to do is put a couple of Lego base plates down and the possibilities for modding are endless!

it's amazing how die hard fans can never accept anything as a joke. I don't mind that people like them, but I do mind the blindness of die hard fans.
