Some stupid questions: I plan to buy the full standalone version without a DIY cabinet (maybe it will come later). Can I play TPA with a gamepad or a homemade USB pin controller? I mean, no connections, soldering, touchscreens etc. required, is that correct? And the system requirements will be a...
Hello Swuth66, is it possible to tweak Ripley's to be a bit harder in a future update? Like removing some extra ball awards, maybe. In one of my first games I got so many extra balls I lost sensation of time. Extra easy difficulty isn't extra fun. Thanks.
Let's imagine another dimension where Farsight could have kept the license. Would we hobbyist players have been offered an official cabinet support add-on?
You'll have to decide if you're more into simpler electromechanicals with chimes or modern and more complex tables. My best recommendation is watching the tables on Youtube first.
From TPA's Facebook page:
"Nintendo Switch Re-Release Announcement!
Our Switch Version of Pinball Arcade (North America) will be re-released tomorrow at 9:00 A.M. (PST)!
Our release for Europe is expected to happen next week."
Swuth66, thanks for taking your time to reply. Let's hope TPA will also have portrait/TATE mode. But with Zen, Magic Pixel and others focusing a lot on cab it would be foolish not to implement it from the beginning in the Switch TPA. Too bad it didn't happen on PS4/XB1/PC.
Well guess that an official cabinet view in PA for PC is now gone for sure. Enter Nintendo Switch and Stern Arcade....One can only hope that one day they'll release a cartridge with Gottliebs in cab view...
I don't hope the development has been cancelled because of the possible copyright issues. But while browsing for a loop remixing app (Mixvibes Remixlive) I stumbled upon their help section where they touched this subject:
"If you are using samples other than the ones natively provided in...
Also The Mummy, Aliens and Hippie, if you want drop targets.
PS No pin emulator is perfect, but Zaccaria, Visual Pinball and PA are as close to a Holy Trinity as possible.
Hi guys....I've been away a for a while from the pin scene and I see there's been a lot going on which I've been missing out. So which cab mode is better in your opinion? I have a lot of work to do this spring and I'm not sure I bother investing time and energy with the FCM. Not lazy, just busy...
Totally agree that the sound needs a complete overhaul or at least the option to balance mechanical vs electronic sounds. Visited an arcade recently and I really enjoyed the mechanical sounds. In PA's Eightball Deluxe, there is a constant drone and you can barely hear the flippers or the...
Hi admins,
With the new releases for the Nintendo Switch, would you consider adding a Switch subforum - or renaming the Nintendo 3DS one to Nintendo?
Regards.
