Back in June of last year I told a forum member who experienced slowdowns in dx11, as I and others on steam had, to change their GPUs prefered power state when they launch the game or update their graphics driver.
So Chris, select the beta dx9 version of the game and attempt to change your...
Here's an interesting question, in TV&Film you may want your display pleasing to watch but a large feature on tables is the sensory assault to the eyes.. so should virtual pinball the player set thier displays to emulate a real machine?
I think light calibration should start in-game first, as...
Props for mentioning the brightness & display factor, a few months back I responded to someone elses thread on steam about brightness and the short of it was...
'An 80s incandescant flash lamp had a range of 116~163W peak lumens, meanwhile my monitor set a 42 of 100 brightness measured only 120...
I've got copies of pre-patched tables too. I'd perfer not to use them, but I understand its the only way to compete with the past.
Coming up to a year of indifference to leaderboard scores now, you'd think something as blatant as that 320M paragon score on its release day would be removed.
So far it goes..
Form submits to List,
List is parsed twice by [90+ Tables] for further filtering and formatting,
[Tables] get fetched by Boards dropdown box(es) like so..
My future wants
Name highlighting - Simple to do
Mimic Zens shorthand formatting:
###.#B, ##.##B, #.###B
###.#M...
Preface - Some users feel the official leaderboard scores don't reflect how some tables play now, erroneous submissions from mismatches, and unsubmittable offline scores just isn't the experience they desire.
Proposal - Fill out an online form (sample) to submit a score, then review a public...
hmm maybe it's a clue about their new IP property, does anyone know of a castle in the woods.. with maybe a straw hut outside with a boat anchor?
or perhaps that's dark a figure emerging from the woods in a jacket holding a flashlight?
Perhaps its scorpion from Mortal Kombat?
started first 4, 2-ball, multiballs moving the mode selection away then once the first set of modes were played I showed even if you re-lit the helicopter it wouldn't lock balls there for 'cave in' or 'jaws of life' anymore. Since this is a 6.5 minute video you wouldn't need to worry about...
not at all? I know there's a bit of delay before the flippers will work even on PC, between hitting start and the flippers responding to inputs. Feels like a solid 2~3 seconds before flippers respond in game.
knowing how to false start multiball in R911 helps, select 1 of two multiball modes before plunging by flipping left or right, hit the call 911 lane which locks a ball, then change the mode to something else which immediately starts multiball. It only works for the first round of modes but...
An issue has popped up even more since the inclusion of the glow balls and their varied look across tables (samples)
I get there's...
a mechanic for the ball to reflect what it goes over
a mechanic that has tables dim or strobe their lights
bulb brightness tied directly to the glow feature...
Recreating what I said earlier, trying to exploit it to best of my ability.
ball reflections are still silver, and the ball seems much brighter than the graphic suggests, the glow balls seem to miss thier glowing shadow when not on the main playfield.
Looks like even on certain textures it goes...
Not only that but If you nudge up when two balls are up there it will drop one down for you. I've also had it miss the second optical eye hole, think it still registers though.
I see what your describing in DX9, it isn't present in DX11.. likely a remnant from their continued work on the head2head feature. Was your platform PC also?
I was looking at what tables were updated, DX11 el dorado is back to having no backglass while DX9 has a backglass (possibly new).. then there's Judge Dredd in DX9 which is correct but in DX11 still had the backglass in the I AM THE LAW area next to the DMD.
So did City of Gold revert or was...
