Why, oh why, do they put such weird Wizard Goals! Getting Jackpot 5x is mostly a matter of perseverance and luck. I truly hate it when boring tables like this one has the worst planned WG's. I am having similar trouble with the STT 5 planet goal but that one feels like it is really a matter of...
Down to 2 WG's again. It was quite easy there for a while but with STT and POTO it feels like being back to Genie again. Dracula was quite difficult as well...but quite a few there (including TAF) I managed to clear all WG in one day.
Anyone with only one left?
Finally made it! Having two missed WG's on one table did not feel good. I can live with the 5x-goal in a way...it just feels so random if you will make it or not.
Hade a 25 M-goal on Double-Your-Score and missed. It's just one of those things with this table that I truly despise, you can play...
I believe that is the difficult thing with the ramp goal. The speed of the ball differs every time it gets feeded so one point-of-shooting won't work for the next.
9 Million! That's impressive! It gives me hope that this is doable.
I guess the main problem is that I don't particularly like this table. I just get frustrated and quit but this is just like NGG and Genie. It's not THAT much how well you play, just how many times you play - eventually the...
I guess there isn't much to it rather than practise to get the right timing, but still, do you have any tricks to make that 5M ramp goal? I believe two balls ramping at the same time is to prefer since it allows for one bad shot while still having the chance to continue. This, however, could...
I wouldn't say that trying to hit the Swamp manually is a good strategy. You can get that 20 M rather easily but if you fail it can be an insta-drain in the right outlane. Since the game itself is so easy I always play this one safe and let it bounce out to a cradled left flipper. In the end I...
I agree, the table is amazing but a bit too easy. The Power is ridiculously strong although that doesn't really matter that much in the end.
The game is quite predictable where most kickouts etc can be perfectly controlled. Keeping the mini-flipper out always delivers the ball to the left...
I used the mini-flipper in the beginning but since it (on an iPad) includes quite a bit of risk of moving my hand setting - I don't. The only thing I see it can be used for is to shoot directly from the Recon-hole to that left hole (that ups your rank).
It has been discussed in the previous threads under General Discussion but let's have a specific thread about it. How do you manage the 5 planet goal?
My plan so far has been to go for the ramps and try to get Recon 1 (Spot Species) or Recon 3 (Spot planet) as often as possible. Scoring many...
I agree with gooche. Above average due to a clear and difficult (but still achievable) goal. Lots of different targets to alternate between. One of the least one-trick-pony-games in the collection I would say.
I think the right outlane is a bit too hungry though. I especially dislike when it...
Out of the ones I have left I guess the 5M ramp shot would be the easiest. I've had 3M and two balls being fed through the ramp (both missed the shot) but that seems quite achievable. The problem is that I truly despise that table. The 5x goal is just as ridiculous as the 3M Genie-goal. The...
I couldn't find this old thread to follow who had a perfect All Wizard Goal Done record. I used to be a part of this prestigious club but since the coming of Phantom of the Opera (2) and now also Starship Troopers (1) - I am now three behind. This makes my efforts of finishing the 3M-Genie goal...
As far as I got it, that's not what the WG is about. It's about activating a Planet multiball on Planet P without having it activated on any of the previous planets. It's tricky enough to get as far as Planet P (only made that 1-2 times) but to do that without accidently activating multiball on...
Oh, ****. So the WG is not only to start a planet multiball on Planet P but to do so without accidently activating it before! Damn, that is going to be tricky!! I got fooled by it only being the second one on the list. Getting Klendathu, in comparison, is a piece of cake.
I often complain about...
I still don't get this WG though. I just reached Klendathu without using the Recon 6-award. Thus, I finished bugs on all 5 planets and had the nuke multiball in the 5th planet. I did however have a sucky multiball and never hit any nuke target on that one.
Does one need to hit at least one...
Thanks for the clarification.
This is the best of all Stern games in my opinion. It has a nice balance in terms of gameplay and a cool final goal. I don't like the bounciness of the flippers or the multiple SDTM shots very much but it's a good pinball game. Trying for the final Wizard goal (got...
Thanks, TomL! This basically makes this WG the same as the Klendathu goal then. I mean, once you have finished off the first 5 planets Klendathu is lit and you only need to reach Klendathu, not "complete" it in order to tick that WG off.
