The version available on the Amazon App Store will work on either Kindle Fire devices or regular Android devices. Thankfully, there isn't a "Kindle Fire Edition" of TPA.
Thanks for answering. Which save folder are you referring to. TPA appears to save data in two folders. One is \Steam\userdata\*SteamUserNumber*\238260\, the other is \Users\*UserName*\My Games\. Or did you mean \Steam\steamapps\common\PinballArcade\?
On a semi-related note, unless something...
Yeah, I kinda expected the "we can't talk about it" response. I really hate hearing the "just trust us" type of line. Anyway, I'll just ask the most important question, point blank, and hope you can answer it. Should FarSight's servers ever disappear (god forbid, they go out of business or just...
I did read the comment but I'm not sure it gives the whole picture. I'd bet the authorization token (or whatever it's called) that allows for offline play is only good for a certain amount of time. I expect it would require you to get online and let it reauthorize from FarSight's (or Steam's)...
This is exactly why I despise DRM. It often screws over the paying customer. Also, I take this to mean that, should FarSight's servers ever disappear (if they go out of business or just decide to shut them down) people will lose access to the tables they've purchased. Please correct me if I'm...
No, they weren't there yesterday either. I'm a bit depressed because it probably means my 12 billion point game of Twilight Zone won't post to the leaderboards. I guess it could be worse, some people are reporting losing access to their (in-game) purchased tables. BTW, the leaderboards still...
I really shouldn't participate in these tournaments. For one, they are only on mobile devices and I hate having to play on a tablet compared to a computer, where I can nudge more easily/quickly. Even worse, I play to win in the tournament and this mindset just doesn't work out well. I don't...
I would love to know the real reason why FarSight went with the pay-to-play scheme but I'm not sure they'll ever share it. If it was a strict condition for getting the license they should have just passed on it. Pay-to-play is just flat out unacceptable to me. I'd rather see the manpower put...
This is exactly what I was afraid of. So basically 3 days of unlimited play cost more than a TPA table. I absolutely despise this type of system. It also bothers me that others support it because that will just encourage more schemes like this in the future. I will not spend one cent in this...
There's no reason you have to spend anywhere near a grand on a PC to play TPA smoothly. I don't think I even spent that much on mine when I built it in 2008 and it plays TPA perfectly (well, ignoring the post-processing blurriness).
Device/OS: 2nd Generation (2012) Kindle Fire
Bug Description: Poor performance on most (but not all) tables with numeric/alphanumeric displays.
Steps To Reproduce: Play tables with numeric/alphanumeric displays.
Frequency:100%
Additional Comments: Something about the latest update has messed...
As much as I like the eyeball, I agree, it's a pretty stingy prize. You have to spend $15 to even be entered to win a $0.99 prize. Even ignoring the skill necessary to be in the top 10, it doesn't make sense. I think the prize should have at least been something like the table pack of your...
I'm curious about this as well. Though I likely won't get anything because I placed 18th. Here's hoping that ~10 of the people ahead of me didn't pledge, even though I seriously doubt it. Also, I noticed that it now says I've qualified for a Silver tournament because I placed in the top 10%...
I know what you mean about the Flight 2000 table. I was so excited when I saw it because I love the TPA version. It was a real letdown to play it and realize that it wasn't going to be possible to lock any balls. I couldn't hear any of the sound effects either because Black Rose was right next...
Like some others here, I'm very concerned about this token system. It makes me think of the EA mobile Dungeon Keeper fiasco. I REALLY hope Farsight doesn't force a token/credit/pay-to-play system on us. There's a reason I rarely visited arcades or played pinball back in the day. Even as a kid it...
I went today (Friday). This was probably the first time I've played a real pinball table in almost two decades and the most time of spent playing pinball during my lifetime. It was quite fun and interesting. I was impressed to see how close TPA plays to the real machines. In some cases TPA plays...
While I'm not sure how well it would sell, I do like the idea of a separate pack of EM tables. Maybe 4 or 5 EM tables for $10. I know I'm in the minority here but I do like the TPA version of Central Park.
Also, I wonder if they could do something like a 12 table season? That would only be one...
They're not only lightning flippers, they're SADISTIC lightning flippers. I find the center drain on this table WAY more dangerous than the one on Fish Tales.
