Does this happen with table demos, challenges, or just regular tables that you've purchased? This happens to me frequently when playing table demos. I reported this issue over a year ago but it still exists.

It's definitely a bug. I guess they're playing with the plunger mechanics as it also introduced a bug in TOTAN's skill shot. They definitely need to fix this as it makes 3 ball multi-ball harder to start (though not impossible). Even the instructions say a full power plunge should go up the ramp.

My first impression of this table is quite positive. I like the layout and it seems to play well, though the audio isn't particularly great. It does remind me a lot of Taxi, which is another table I like.

Anyone else noticing tables getting stuck in plunger view during multiball? I've had it happen on ST:TNG, Who Dunnit, and at least one other (Dr. Dude maybe?). Sometimes it stays there till multiball ends, other times it will eventually go back to the proper view for no obvious reason.

Oh I absolutely feel the demos are critical. Without them I guarantee I wouldn't have bought nearly as many tables as I have. Having the demos is one thing I definitely feel FarSight got right, even if the score limits could use a little fine tuning.

My problem with the demos is where some of the score limits are set. Some tables you can barely play at all, while others I would rarely hit the limit. Tables like No Good Gofers, PinBot, and Class of 1812 just have the score limit set too low. There are plenty of times I'd hit it within like 15...

I'm not sure if this will help you at all but TPA runs just fine on my machine which is a bit old. It's a 3GHz Core 2 Duo, with a Radeon 4870 (old but high end). As for the components you asked about, I doubt a Core I3 is necessary but I don't know anything about that video card.
