I do like most TPA babies though.... :) It's nice (and healthy) to take a step back once in a while, stop griping, and think how great it actually is to have recreations of actual existing tables and even have them play really well! On an iPad! And we got to a season 5 with now 60+ tables (or...
Funny thing is that WOZ itself has it as a feature when you "pause" the game. It displays onscreen how far you are within modes and towards bigger steps towards wizard mode. Such a flowchart can be found here in any case: http://rvapinball.org/2014/06/24/woz-rule-flowchart-2/
If this is somehow still the best business model that they have or can sustain with the personnel and money they have, they won't have a reason to do things differently. Not to say that I'm happy with all those choices. I don't think they support older hardware just to be nice to some people for...
Helpful:
- knowing the rules/layout
- knowing/avoiding dangerous shots
- basic/intermediate flipper moves like deadpass, cradle, postpass, slapsave
Not helpful:
- nudging: although you can learn to get a feel for when to nudge, to do it for real is another thing. I actually reached out to touch...
I agree, but they don't do that :) Just as they don't provide a thorough platform specific changelog with each release, that the HOF leaderboard for iOS is not fixed yet, that POTO is still crashing my whole app and kills the remote backup function which forces a whole reinstall, that some...
In all cases when there has been an iOS delay, it was released on a Friday after the regular release on other platforms. Maybe something to do with the app store process? I can't remember an instance in which it was released on another day, but it may have happened. That Friday is actually my...
Yep, he shuts up and other sound/music effects also cease and desist. Probably a script problem, but you will not hear me complain after 20-odd games.... :)
Those 1-4 targets must have some kind of secret spring mechanism behind them, because I've never seen passive targets speed up the ball on contact...:)
It's all about the slingshots baby! I may underestimate other tables in this regard, but Gorgar has some of the most frequent slingshot hits of any table I played recently. Just keep the ball off the top of them because those outlanes will eat you alive.
:) I know....I'm gettin back to where I remember what it would take to actually better my own highscore, let alone make some waves on the leaderboard. When I haven't played a table for a long time I forget the score scaling and what actually constitutes a good score. So I got close today to my...
Hi Itchy,
Just wanted to say that some scores can accidentally show up at the wrong leaderboard, without those being hacks. Nobody would think 2.6B is even possible on Firepower, and there are more scores that are completely over the top. Even employee RSchwanter is in the HOF leaderboard with...
This.
Eject hole is not safe at all in iOS, once in 4-5 balls it even goes down the left outlane without a timely nudge. Once in 3-4 balls it goes down to the tip of the left flipper which also can be a tight shot but doable. In the other cases it goes to the right flipper for a catch or...
Be aware that some tables do not award HOF points beyond a certain score, mostly roll-over tresholds. You can fix that by using the button "Restore HOF points" in the options menu. This affects at least 10-15 tables in TPA although on some tables you'll have to score pretty high to encounter...
