Oh man, yeah. I mean, SST is okay-ish, I don't mind it all that much, but it's not as good as LAH. And Frankenstein is garbage-tier, especially compared to Ripley's. I would rather they have implemented Harley Davidson first, honestly.
If they actually implement 4.0 physics to all tables on all platforms then that would be enough for me to be satisfied. As it stands, the only platform with 3.0 physics on all pre-Xenon tables is Steam, despite promises around this time LAST YEAR that they would update the physics on other...
So let me understand something:
TPA is developed for FOURTEEN different platforms, and they are targeting 8 platforms for Stern Pinball Arcade, including VR. On top of that, they now have to develop two table at the same time if they are going to support both apps concurrently.
How are they...
Wii U not having the DMD on the game pad is like "what are you doing FS?"
Seriously, though, too many platforms and not enough fixes for the existing ones. But that's a different thread...
I've never played TX Sector but it's a Gottlieb Premiere so I probably won't like it. Oh well! Still...
I was just playing this thinking "holy crap, this sound package is awful!" Guess I didn't notice over the noise of the arcade. Fun enough table, though. I like it, maybe more than R911. Definitely more than Frankenstein.
Truly shocked DMD-Gamepad intergration and more control options aren't present after three years. These are features that make Wii U a worthwile alternative to other platforms.
Nice that all the table physics are up to date, though. Maybe now FS can update the physics on mobile and other...
I only played LAH for the first time last year, and both LAHs i've played had working cranes. I like the game, it's a better-than-average DE, and if TPA is a virtual museum then DE needs more representation.
I realize that everyone has different tastes, but I can't see how this Season is "just...
I mean, Zen physics are definitely not realistic, very video-gamey, and that's fine given the focus on objectives and the scarcity of extra balls. But TPS physics aren't realistic, either. Zen's are very tight, TPA's is a little floaty. Neither feel real and both are very predictable. Timeshock...
Considering the amount of work and polish that would need to go into such a project, it's pretty clear that FS is completely unequipped. TPA is also a very niche product, which is why it's ported to so many platforms. So they would need to make all of this work on all their current platforms, in...
I've probably played at least 5 different JP tables, including one with an awesome new T-Rex toy, but I've just never enjoyed my time on any of them. I know people like the game, I just can't get a feel for it.
Edit: oh yes, I see the comparison to Whirlwind more clearly. But I like Whirlwind...
The release of R911 has added a new theme to further diversify the TPA line-up, and a pretty unique one at that.
TPA is still missing some prevelant pinball themes, particularly traditional sports like Baseball, Football, Basketball, Hockey and Soccer (Atm).
What are some other pinball tables...
Disagree about flow. Yeah, the underlying blueprint might be very close, but object placement plays a big factor, as do subtle shifts in angles. As Ian Malcom would tell you himself, tiny variations can lead to big changes. They should have called the table "Jurassic Park: Chaos Theory."
Do...
I would be so happy if they did this. Bride of Pinbot is a massive eyesore.
But... More important to me is updating the gameplay. Like bringing 3.0 physics to older tables, which currently only the PC version has. And on all platforms tables like Creature from the Black Lagoon and Scared Stiff...
I don't get the love for Jurassic Park outside of the theme. Every JP i've played has been a drain monster and the table has terrible flow, IMO. Never been a fan.
Rocky and Bullwinkle is definitely the best Data East. There's a good number of their tables I would prioritize over JP.
LAH?? This season has been amazing! That table is one of the best Data Easts IMO, which TPA severely lacks. It was high on my wishlist, along with Dredd and The Getaway! I've really enjoyed every table this season, except Frankenstein. R911, Hurricane and the EM 2-pack have been welcome surprises.
