Absolute Favorite: Star Trek TNG: Patrick Stewart (whispers) "Good Luck!"
White Water: "Anybody gotta light!?" "I got a flashlight!" "Multi-Millions!"
Attack From Mars "They gotta big 'ol beam!" "SUUuuuUUpppEEeerRR JJJAAAccKKPooooOOOTTtt!"
Elvira & the Party Monsters [after Boogie] Dracula...
Oh, I just wanna say White Water is my second choice... such a fantastic game. I never get tired of it, that's one of the funnest combo shots in pinball. I love the callouts, too.
My go-to's are Attack From Mars, Addams, White Water, Monster Bash, No Good Gofers, Road Show, Stark Trek TNG.
Recently Elvira & TPM, Taxi, Bride of Pinbot and Funhouse.
Generally I'll also throw Cirqus Voltair, Earthshaker, Diner, Cyclone, Firepower, High Speed, Scared Stiff and The Getaway...
@White Chocolate to be sure, different tables of the same game can be more or less difficult. There are adjustments and tunings (both hardware and software) random variables (a lean, playfield scars, etc) and especially the condition in terms of rubbers, plunger, bumpers, etc. I like to go to a...
It's a really hard question for me simply because I don't know enough about most tables to really judge their depth. I mean, ruling out tables I like is easier than picking one and being sure.
That said, I would probably pick Attack From Mars. The table is always fun to play, but more...
Oh yeah! It's always exciting to play a TPA table IRL for the first time. First you're like, "wow, it looks just like it!" Then you're like "sweet, I got this," and then you get your ego destroyed.
As someone who's state is pinball-anemic, I can tell you it absolutely has for me. I can learn the rules and layouts for tables, practice reaction times, experiment with risky shots. Everytime i return to a real-world location I feel that I've benefited from playing TPA in the interim. But I've...
Good on ya! I just started playing pinball in the last couple years, with much more frequency and intensity this year (I'm 30 myself - completely missed the boat in the 90s playing playstation :-( ) Anyway, what city do you live in? I may have missed that somewhere.
invitro So basically nostalgia and historical context. I see. Well I'm all for that being a good reason to add a table, much better than "we got this license gratis so we'll add this table no one wants because it's cheap for us."
This is how i feel. I've played the table on PC. It's just OK. But I buy every table no matter what because I dont live in an area with a lot of pins. Like SST, feels like they put this table in TPA because they could, not because anyone wanted it. But what if I did love the table? I just want...
That's a whole other level of work, though.
Why is EBD so important to so many people? I've played it a few times, played it again last night. It's a nice game and it's fun enough, but I fail to see what's so special or important about it. We already have two pool-themed tables and plenty of...
Welp. Still no Frank. I guess we aren't making Halloween. BTW, FS, you did say through the week. It's been a week. This lack of communication is what I'm talking about. It takes 2 minutes to tweet a status report.
