It seems like almost every table Data East made was a big license (at least at the time) and many feature celebrity likenesses to boot (yeah, I'm not holding my breath for Batman, WWF Royal Rumble or Star Wars.) Even if we do get some more DE tables it seems like we'd get one or two at best...
... Banzai Run, Riverboat Gambler, Radical, Swords of Fury... That's 11 awesome UNLICENSED games that should be in TPA before Farsight is done... along with Data East reps! I mean, there's a lot of tables I feel like aren't as deserving that are already in the game. I think Police Force and...
Okay, first off, there's some pins in TPA with very grating music. Second, the Rollergames music and callouts are awesome! The game is really fun, I think if you dropped the needless corprate logos the license shouldn't be too tough.
And if we are going to get Bad Cats we should get Mousin'...
Starship Troopers is infuriating to play with a touch screen. Played a real one and thought it was pretty cool but I wouldn't recommend it to mobile users.
This will be the first Zen table I don't buy. Bums me out to have to wait so long for another one. I could look past the theme on Stern's table because it's actually pretty fun and real pinball is worth some sacrifice... But no thanks on a Zen FG table. Btw, anyone else not too impressed with...
Just played this in Nashville, awesome game. You know, anyone in or visiting the Nashville area really owes themselves a trip to Game Galaxy. They have a huge selection of tables including many of the requested tables yet to appear in TPA: Judge Dredd, Johnny Neumonic, Dirty Harry, Rocky and...
You know, I'm not the biggest fan of Data East pinball but they really did contribute a lot of tables to the game. And there's definetly some really solid tables by DE that I enjoy, but they are all licensed. The overall lack of Data East, and to a lesser extent Sega and Capcom, really leaves a...
I really liked Zen's South Park table, the Butters one not so much. Certainly better than Segas. The lack of expletives does seem weird considering that they really defined the image of the show, but the sound bytes made me laugh anyway. Just goes to show you that South Park is more than f-words.
I think both Last Action Hero and Johnny N. are awesome and would make great additions to TPA. They are also probably the best tables left on that list. I just got to try a Godzilla and it was fun enough, very Sega. Stern's Spider-man is OK, although I sure do hate the table "art" and junky...
I just played No Fear and Blackwater 100 for the first time in Nashville. I really liked both tables but if I could only have one I would definitely have to go with Blackwater. Top to bottom a very unique and crazy table, nothing else like it. No Fear is a very competent ramp/loop centric table...
Just played this the other day on my trip to Nashville. They have a pretty good one at the Rivergate Mall Game Galaxy Arcade. The table I played was pretty difficult but I kept at it knowing how rare it was. Never really improved. Cool table but I prefer Theater of Magic, heh. I think I would...
I just discovered one of these pins in very nice condition not too far from my home in Indianapolis. My only previous encounter was at Indiana Beach. I've been playing this newly-found one a lot and it's a very fun game with a cool combo shot and a magnet-gimmick by the upper flipper. Probably...
I just don't understand why this UI is something we're supposed to be excited for. I'm completely fine with the clunky but functional mess we have now. This looks like a lateral move at best, but I actually think it might be worse. Have they not seen modern game UI? Do they honestly see their...
That's the new UI we've been promised? That looks awful. Does Farsight not employ a graphic designer? This looks like a 90s PC game. So ugly...
And you're implying that we're LOSING the ability to see the tables Alphabetically? That's a step back to me, now I have to remember what season the...
I was thinking, with the new UI, it would be nice to be able to sort tables by Manufacturer, Chronology, Table Type (EM, SS) and Designer in addition to the current Alphabetical listing. I think this helps put the history of pinball in context and would suit the museum-like aspirations of TPA.
I suppose the alternative is that FS just drops support for last gen all-together. To be fair, it IS last-gen. Not a whole lot of companies are going to be supporting those consoles for very much longer and Farsight is spread pretty thin.
It would still be cheaper to get the pass, you save $20. Also, High Roller Casino may not be all that great but it's hardly the worst table in its season.
