When's Cyclone out on iOS, and what tables are in the latest Mobile Tourney?

Storm Chaser :By what name can I find you in the list, because then I can watch for you in my rearview mirror! :) I'm trying to recapture my third place from Gus, but he is a quick fellow..... Nice to get to know the top iOS players, makes for some fun and more personal/friendly competition. I'm...

Table of the Week Club...Week 11: BLACK KNIGHT 2000

This is a bit eerie, but I found myself playing this table already last week, because I thought there were some relatively easy HOF points to be scored. A couple of hours later I had 252M for 6th place overall.... :) only regret that I didn't keep playing to pass Tarek who is only about 10-12M...

Help!! I've lost my ceramic ball!!!

Not to hijack this thread but may I point out the rollover (HOF) score issues on iOS and the fact that Phantom of the Opera is still broken on iOS? Would very much like to see fixes for both problems. I have brought these under attention of customer support several times and they promised to...

Cyclone up on IOS!!!!! Really this time!

I kind of miss multiball on this table, there would have been cool scoring options with 2 balls. I like those tough ramps though.

Table of the Week Club...Week 10: THEATRE OF MAGIC

Sorry...:) but I actually don't mean that *cue evil laughter* I like the competition with HOF points because that's the one thing I found to be doable. I haven't got the time and attention span (and probably also the skill) to grind it out with the likes of VikingErik and Tarik. Besides I don't...

Help!! I've lost my ceramic ball!!!

Yup, could be that old issue. After an update to TPA physics on some tables can also be different, especially with the plunger. A full plunge on Taxi for example always yielded 100K, now it's significantly less than a full plunge (and this is better because it wouldn't be much of a skill shot to...

(An attempt at) The top 40 TPA players from leaderboard scores

Although I have to do some serious back-extrapolation (intrapolation? :) ) to reduce VikingErik's scores to my more modest scores, a quick math shows that I have the same point-per-hour going on for most tables. I just can't sustain those grinds that long. On some tables the Viking knows and...

Table of the Week Club...Week 10: THEATRE OF MAGIC

I had to laugh out loud about this :) I have had that happen with a couple of tables. I even felt King of the Hill once on Big Shot until I realized a couple of games later that that 350K+ score won't happen soon again....But Genie is probably my best example of a table that I got into after...

When's Cyclone out on iOS, and what tables are in the latest Mobile Tourney?

I'm all with you Storm Chaser on this, I also think that Farsight could handle their Kickstarter better in terms of communication and setup (more updates, stretch goals etc). I also really hope they would put more effort into fixing bugs in earlier tables. Especially POTO on iOS is still broken...

(An attempt at) The top 40 TPA players from leaderboard scores

+1 I wouldn't want to see legit scores go down every so often, if I have a monster game, I would like to have it stand for a looooong time :) That being said, the leaderboards could benefit from a good spring cleaning. And what's up with legit scores still getting posted to the wrong part of the...

    Pinball series that were realeased

Indy '93 and Indy 2008? Not a real series, even different manufacturers. But definitely "loosely connected" :)

I have to know what you think of these 3 Pinball Games

We have a Rescue 911 at our clubhouse, and it is great fun. Nice flow, interesting shots and a difficult to reach end mode (wouldn't exactly call it a wizard mode). The helicopter gets a bit old after a while, but having two main dropoff targets depending on mode gives it a bit of variety. I...

Table of the Week Club...Week 10: THEATRE OF MAGIC

I also found that grinding the basement yields enough extra balls to be worth concentrating on that for a while, especially when your "cushion" of extra balls gets thin. When I played ToM a lot, I could finish video pinball 3 out of 4 times for an extra ball. There is an excellent strategy...

    Reconsidering forum name

"I came a little late to the TPA forum (lurked for a year or so before I officially joined) so I don't know the tone of the forums from the beginning but I am guessing the forums relationship with farsight started with a honeymoon phase and now it is in the old married couple phase. There has...

Table of the Week Club...Week 10: THEATRE OF MAGIC

Fun table, lots to do, great theme and atmosphere. Bonus (and thus multiplier) is a big part of getting high scores because of the progressive nature of it over the course of a game (Theater Letters add up for example and carryover from ball to ball). Getting that multiplier up is not easy...

(An attempt at) The top 40 TPA players from leaderboard scores

I think one major difference between platforms is how nudging is handled. I saw some PC footage and was amazed by how many presumably tiny nudges were allowed by the program without tilting. This gives a lot more (flipper) control. Also a touch scheme on mobile is never as fast/accurate as...

(An attempt at) The top 40 TPA players from leaderboard scores

This thread (and Invitro's great work) motivates me even more to play after I get my 1000 HOF points on iOS. Without it I never would have found out that I can have a crack at a top 10 score overall on an individual table. So please let it be or come up with something similar as not to spoil the...

Table of the Week Club...week 9: WHITE WATER!

Just a tip that I found to have helped my game on Whitewater: you can spot Hazards in other ways than shooting them and while the middle three shots on the lower playfield (ramp, lock and Disaster Drop) and Insanity Falls/Whirlpool on the upper are quite save, both orbits can be dangerous...
