Long time no play for me on this table, at 650M. Those sexy see-through ramps will make it somewhat easier probably, especially timing the jackpot ramp. I'll guess I'll have to put on the grind gloves again.... :)
I for one put my faith in Invitro's montly "an attempt at the top 40 TPA players" thread in which he actively deals with suspicious scores. I don't buy the "ethical hackers mentality" thing of getting Farsight to clean up their act, I just think he's an obnoxious troll. What is really sad is...
One interesting thing I found on the internet: apparently there are two versions of TAF gold. One is essentially a faux version. When the first production run ended and there seemed to be more demand, the next batch of regular TAF was produced with exterior gold accents, but was in every other...
Gameplay has some differences though: http://pinball.org/rules/addamsfamilygold.html
Not a big difference in my opinion although scoring is somewhat easier because of (random) higher jackpots and some small bonus things. Cousin It's hideout rewards can potentially be very nice, upward to an...
I'm not sure if Tarek is human.... :) Just kidding, but his scores are sometimes awe-inspiring. I always think he's named after some Star Trek character, probably a Romulan general or something. That would go with his scoring.....
Always very nice those Status Reports :) I'm with you on the "do not disturb" with respect to the left flipper to Chair, my favorite way to start MB. Chair kickouts with the Power on though are sometimes hair-raising, buttcheekclenching affairs, especially with Seance. Lost my fair share of...
Skill shot on iOS is very repeatable, now I know where the sweet spot is (just a tad under the middle indicator), I can't miss it.
Been in a festive TPA mood today, scored a nigh 4.7B on the regular TAF and that propelled me just over a combined 34.000 HOF points for 3rd place overall!
This triggers the Power though, because it's a switch. Then again, wait 10 seconds and you're on your way again. This is like a mandatory time-out before downloading on one of those free download services..... :)
Hi folks,
Just watched the great TAF tutorial over at PAPA.org by Bowen: http://papa.org/learning-center/video-resources/tutorial-videos/
I noticed some differences in how the table behaves (most of them tournament settings), of which the start of MB was very interesting. In TPA TAF the Power is...
Nice write-up, really nothing much to add here! Couple of stray points:
- In Seance you can let the Power also turn off after a few seconds of holding the ball on either flipper, then the countdown timer also sometimes stops. You can then shoot the bear ramp without risk. Just be careful again...
