I find playing on a mobile platform much more difficult than on a PC. I very rarely match my best scores on Android vs. PC. I think for a while my best Black Hole score was on Android, but that's about it.
I've never been comfortable nudging on Android, no matter what touch scheme I try (and...
Various BT controllers can be used with Android, and iOS, for that matter. I just don't get using a controller (which you need to hold in both hands) with a tablet (which you need to hold in both hands). Unless there are some serious genetic freaks out there playing pinball :D
As for...
I have no idea how people can play on a 'phone. An 8" tablet is small enough, but a 5" 'phone just doesn't seem feasible. Though... my 'phone is right here next to me... maybe a quick try....
One thing to consider is your case - if you choose to use one. I imagine trying to play TPA using an iPad mini with an Otterbox that weighs several times what the tablet weighs, is going to be more taxing than playing with a bare tablet.
I can actually test this out, if I wanted - we have two...
Correct. Doesn't make for very interesting or varied gameplay, mind.
Moving along - how about Fish Tales? I think anyone who played in the recent tournament will agree, it's a great tournament table that really sorts out who's good and who's not. Monster Fish maybe is the safest way to score...
The trouble with STTNG is, you can ignore Final Frontier and missions entirely.
My best game is a "mere" 72B, and do you know what finally killed me? Deciding to go for that last mission to complete my first Final Frontier.
They have, and they do.
Two tournaments ago there was a PC player in the Silver tier who, I have to imagine, made a mistake when entering a "hacked" score and ended up with the final digit not being a zero. While the player's scores stood at the immediate end of the tournament, their position...
I think he's referring to some Steam files that may have accidentally got into a recent build, unless they didn't get there by accident. Someone else pointed them out to me a while ago. I imagine it's the same deal as the "Ace High" stuff that's been sitting there since day 1.
In Silver last time, nothing special. In Bronze the behavior was similar but the competition, stiffer.
Do it once, fine, benefit of the doubt.
Do it again, and it starts to smell fishy.
Those aren't just good scores, either, they're all very good scores for those tables.
I keep my forum activity to a minimum of game-specific boards. Also, the PC boards tend to have a more mature audience, lower traffic, and better self-policing and thus fewer trolls.
Otherwise I just go for the polls and of course the guides.
Once again a certain player has come in and within the space of 24 hours got the #1 score in all tables in Gold. Some scores by "just enough", and I'd like to compare those scores with scores in other tiers/platforms. A couple have since been beaten, but it's all too suspicious in my mind.
So here's a longshot - let's try and get TPA at least into the opening bracket of the next Best. Game. Ever. bracket on gamefaqs! I'll be happy for TPA to bomb out in the first round, as long as it makes it that far.
Here's a link - you probably need to register to be able to make suggestions...
11Gb is nearly twice the size of (vanilla) Skyrim. But then, FS can't re-use resources in the same way Bethsoft can. Almost all of that 11Gb will be table resources.
Depending on your route either stop in to the Pacific Pinball Museum, or to Free Gold Watch which is by the eastern end of Golden Gate Park (one block down from the McDonald's). Never made it to PPM when I was there, but FGW has 40-ish pins (all of 'em eat quarters though).
