Sounds great man. Plus you could probably add VPX tables manually if you wanted to, but sounds like you have plenty to keep you busy. Honestly when WMS launches for FX3, it’ll be even better than VPX imo.
That's why we have smart guys like The Loafer to guide us through!
BTW Loafer, I've been downloading a bunch of tables and seeing your name pop up quite a bit. The version of Eight Ball Deluxe you playtested is fantastic. Also saw you provided some scans for Centaur?
Another quick question for...
No doubt about that! It truly is a dream setup.
These are a cool alternative for folks on a budget.
Personally I don’t mind just playing on my PC with an X-arcade controller, but I get the appeal of having a dedicated cab for sure. Also a great conversation piece and something to impress your...
It does seem like good value for someone who doesn't want to tinker, and really wants the feeling of sitting in front of an actual cab.
Pretty cool that they were able to get into so many big name stores. I would think these are probably rather hot items with all the classic console releases...
Oh baby, I love both of those EMs. Abra Ca Dabra is one of my all-time favs, and of course I'm a baseball nut being a Cubs fan. Sounds like you're set for life!
The Loafer was kind enough to help me get the latest version of Visual Pinball running so, here's a little video of me flailing around...
FPS limiter/vsync and Max prerendered frames = 1 is awesome for T2 and Grand Lizard. Buttery smooth at a steady 60fps.
However, I downloaded Metallica and it appears to ignore the vsync setting. FPS is up around 150fps, and the ball doesn't seem to roll quite as smoothly. Even tried setting...
Fantastic news wolfson! what pins have you played on it so far? Gorgeous view from the chopper. The wife and I will be heading to Pismo Beach next month for a little getaway. There’s a hotel we like to stay at with a nice oceanside view and beach. Really pretty stretch of coastline. When the...
I’ll test out some of those settings tonight, along with some new tables. I’ll let ya know how it goes. Thanks again for the help, man. You’ve eased more than a few headaches. :)
Interesting that the DMD shows up by default if it’s not intended. It seems to only disappear if I alt tab.
For PC gaming in general, fullscreen has traditionally provided better FPS than windowed, so no surpris that it would here as well. I didn’t really look at the actual FPS numbers, but...
Price is nice, but is there a way to add more games? Not sure it’d be worth for 2-4 games unless you were an absolute nut for a certain title.
Also they are a bit on the small side, eh? I guess they wouldn’t be bad for sitting down, but still might be a bit small, although I see they sell a riser.
Yeah...after the 100 GB art pack download failed after letting it run overnight, I kinda gave up on it. Plus I just noticed I’ve almost hit my 1 TB xfinity monthly download limit. :/
I agree with SB: I like the worn look too. Having this taste saves me a lot of money when it comes restoring (or rather not restoring) my own pinball machine as well. As long as it plays good, I'm good!
I think it would probably look ok without the surround, but SB's idea seems like it would...
Hmmm, seems the DMD is loading behind instead of on top of the VP player. Alt tabbing doesn't help. Let me know if you have any ideas on how to fix it.
EDIT:
Rebooting my PC fixed it, as long as I don't alt + tab while playing, which will knock the DMD behind again with no apparent way to...
D'oh! So apparently I reset the resolution every time I fiddled with ticking "force exclusive fullscreen" on and off...EXCEPT for the one time I made the ddraw reg edit, which is why the colors were all screwed up. It was late and I didn't put 2 and 2 together until I read your post, so once...
